Classic checkerboard table, random statue, stained glass lamp New York style Italian restaurant. The menu has a good combination of pizza, red sauce pasta cheesy concoctions, veggies such as escarole, and less common dishes like tripe.
Lots of homemade flavors and quality bites. Big portions as well! Finished with the tartufo, which was a nice sweet bite to end the meal.
We always love this place! It's a real comfort zone for me. The food is really good and the servers are just delightful! We are happy that It is close to our home and we are regular diners here. We love the tiramisu too..
GG's has been in the same spot forever and I had never visited. What a great surprise it was. The food here is amazing! We ordered the seafood pasta in wine sauce, the pasta platter, veal parmigiana and pizza. Everything was so tasty! You will get plenty food. Servings are big an all come with garlic rolls and bowl of house salad. The place is not fancy, but it is family friendly. Our server was super nice and offer good recommendations. The wine list has very good prices also. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes!
Arrived yesterday for late lunch, seated quickly, Trish our server was excellent, some work hard to give good service, my wife and I believe that Trish was just being Trish and delivered an excellent experience. I had philly steak and cheese and my gluten-free wife ordered from no menu ever but was accommodated with no fuss. If we're back in the area we will make a point of returning. Only marked down the atmosphere as there weren't enough people making use of this wee diamond.
Tricia, I just want to say thanks for the excellent services and being apart of our celebration. Compliments to the chief for the surprise zeppoles, or should I say extra special secret menu treat.

Hubby and I went for dinner. The fish GG style was delicious. The escarole, the garlic rolls and salad made the dinner complete
Take out order of 4 meals w/salad, rolls and 2 appetizers. Packed perfectly. Food was delicious. Nice portions, plenty of leftovers. Highly recommend! Staff was friendly, polite and accommodating. One meal had red sauce and was ordered without it due to allergy. Called and they quickly and pleasantly made good on it. Apologized and took care of it immediately. Will definitely go back.
We usually have Trish serve us, but the last two times we had different servers, and they were great, too. Their meatsauce and meatballs are new faves. Never disappointed here.
Check out their desserts. I'm not a chocolate lover, but their mouse cake is delicious.
I've been going to GG's for years. Their salad is really good. I have had many items from their menu, including spaghetti, chicken marsala, meatball sub, and pizza. It's all delicious.
There can be a wait during peak times, and as far as I know they do not take reservations.
The service is excellent. They also have great iced tea.
Parking can be a bit of a challenge during the busy times. There is extra parking behind the building.
GG’s of New York is a GREAT restaurant!! Their salad and private salad dressing is Excellent! We have had two parties there in the back, private room. Their baked clams and GG’s fish are de luscious. The service staff is the one you want in every restaurant!!!
