My husband and I were in ft Lauderdale for the week of 3/14-3/21 and we were heading to the airport and I seen this place and I said hey instead of going to the expensive place for crab and have to sit on plane with a heavy stomach , let's stop here this looks like a really nice cozy place, so that's what we did it sure was a great meal wish we would of stopped a couple of times during our stay, to try out other meals!!!! I would recommend this place food was great service was great prices were great, all around GREAT!!!
Love this place. Been around forever for a reason. Never d,disappoints. All staff is fantastic and very attentive even at their busiest times. Was there yesterday and it was crazy buzy but never felt slighted. Had a great waitress, new to the place, and she was wonderful. Thanks to her and all.
One of the best breakfast I’ve had in awhile. Im from New York and live in miami so to be able to have access to this comfort food is a luxury. Pure traditional diner vibes that are a trend we need to keep alive. Service was excellent and food was even better also very budget friendly. Usually camera eats first but the food looks so good I couldn’t resist. Highly recommended anyone to come here to check it out. 12/10
First time visiting. Service from Alexis, was terrific! We had the basics… eggs, bacon and sausage with sides. All was prepared well. The place, while packed from local events, was still clean and neat but moved smoothly.
Authentic diner popular with the locals. Waffles are on the fluffier side and the butters they have are whipped butters. They have gyros and great coffee. The parking lot has nice views of the water.
A Fort Lauderdale staple. This place never disappoints. Great breakfast. We have been here more times and we are constantly happy when we leave. Staff is friendly! Highly recommended.
Not-so-small diner, with a homestyle vibe. Friendly, welcoming, and easy start to our day. Especially after waking up tired but hungry, this place set us up for success. Paced nicely with our cups of coffee, always full & full-figured plates; our server was on top of it. We enjoyed our first experience here.
Not sure why, but driving by this place for years I assumed it was a bad Chinese restaurant staring at it from the corner of my eye.. 🤔 Instead it turned out to be an American diner with delicious Biscuits n Gravy. I no longer will be going to the across town competition and instead pledge my loyalty to Egg & You, at least for Biscuits n Gravy. (Update) And the 🐔 fried steak is pretty tasty too. So if you're a fan of B n' G don't make a mistake and go somewhere subpar only to regret it later.
Fantastic meal with an awesome server. Great vibe with a country cooked breakfast anytime of the day.
I asked for the English muffin burnt & they got it right on the 1st try! Don't pay for parking, there's free parking in the very back of the lot by the water. I thought the French toast was just the right size. The waitress was kind enough to let me try the link and patty style sausage to test them both. I prefer the link, although I must say the patty was very good as well. It seemed to be of good quality meat without much fillers. The eggs were done perfectly the way I asked them to be. The grits were good, I only added the tiniest bit of salt. The waitress made an excellent suggestion for us to sit somewhere else more comfortable. And while i was ordering, she also made a more economical suggestion that even Included an extra item. They carry Cary's sugar free syrup. Fantastic food, fantastic experience. Look forward to going back.
We went here with a local friend at 11:45 am on a Tuesday. There is free parking for the restaurant inside a fence behind the closer metered parking. When we entered the restaurant, we were told to sit where we wanted. There were many people in the dining room, and my friend walks through the dining room and a doorway into a second dining room where we were alone for most of our meal. The waitress was friendly, attentive and helpful. The menu has great prices and a variety of breakfast items, sandwiches and meals. We all liked our meals that were delivered fairly quick. My friend got the French Toast with sausage patties and fresh fruit. I had a Greek Omelet (with feta and spinach), grits and dark rye Toast. (pictured)Also ordered was the Reuben served with fries and Cole slaw.(pictured) I added salt and real butter to my grits to my liking and ate all my food.
Nice place to eat with family
Food here is cheap it makes it affordable yo bring your entire family here.
One of thing that I like the most was how fast tables were cleaned up, (usually within a min after a customer leaves) that of course makes possible for customer to be seated fast without waiting for hours to be seated.
Food was good, served fast, and exactly as I ordered it.
I didn't like the coffee much though. It was watery and when I asked the server she pretty much said "sorry that is all we have" 😑
Parking is not a problem, since there in plenty of places to park.
I will probably go back at some point, but maybe this time I'll bring my own coffee. 😁
