My son and I went and had a great time. The food was super good, I had lamb, so tender and juicy. Enjoyed the music very much and even bought some German chocolate to take home. If your looking for something different and enjoy trying new foods, I highly recommend this place.

I will have to revisit my review at a later date as I just ordered beer. Judging solely on service, beer, and the atmosphere, this was an excellent restaurant and I highly recommend it. As a German-American watching the World Cup (Go Germany!), it was a great experience. 5 stars easily.

Very typical German food. We went on a Monday at lunch time so the menu was at discount price because it was quite affordable. The German draft beers are very good. Good service.

My husband told me how he and his family used to have a tradition of going here on their way to the Keys when he was younger. Well I didn't need to be convinced that this is clearly a tradition that should be kept going. I felt like we were transported to a tiny piece of Germany when we walked in. They have authentic German trinkets and steins lining the ceiling. It's intimate and homey and wonderfully German. The food is authentic as well. We had the German Potato soup, potato pancakes, and schnitzel (jaeger for me and zigeuner for Anthony). Huge pieces of meat, hearty sauces and luscious spatzel, complete with red cabbage. Yum yum yum. After driving for 5 hours this and a cold Hacker Pschorr hit the spot! The service was fast and friendly as well, which is always appreciated. A wonderful stop in south Florida! And right off the highway, so well worth the detour if you're passing through Fort Lauderdale to get to Miami or the Keys.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an exquisite German restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that transported me straight to Germany. The menu offered a tantalizing array of traditional German dishes, each prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. The flavors were rich and authentic, showcasing the true essence of German cuisine. I couldn't resist indulging in classics like bratwurst, schnitzel, and sauerkraut, and I was not disappointed. The dishes were cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned, and presented beautifully. What truly set this restaurant apart was the impeccable service. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was exceptional. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and catered to my needs with a genuine smile. The attention to detail extended to the restaurant's decor, which created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The rustic charm, with wooden accents and traditional German artwork, added to the overall experience. It was evident that the owners had put great thought into creating an authentic and immersive dining environment. To top it all off, the beverage selection was outstanding. The restaurant boasted an impressive collection of German beers and a well-curated wine list, perfectly complementing the flavors of the food. I found myself savoring every sip, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the meal. In conclusion, this German restaurant surpassed all my expectations. The delectable cuisine, impeccable service, and charming ambiance combined to create an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a fan of German cuisine or simply looking to try something new, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. It's a true gem that captures the essence of Germany in every bite.

Looks are deceiving, when you first pull up the place looks a little run down. GO IN ANYWAY, the food & service was amazing. We will definitely visit again when in area.

I loved it, the resturant is very well decorated to step into a small part of Germany. Its fast and good service from happy and service entusiastic servers here. They have good recomondations, only down con they had ran out of the beer we choose. But after a suggestion they got us one that we loved. The portions are huge, its to big for a europian stomage but tasted so good. Would recomend anyone to come here. The pork roast and wiener snitzel is excelent!:)

The beer alone deserves 5 stars. Such great beer on tap. The service is excellent, everyone was very attentive and kind. Our bartender, Maryam , has perfected her pour and was very funny. We started off with the potato pancakes and had the Jaegar schnitzel -- everything was flavourful and cooked well. Best place to stop before hitting up the airport.

Same as it ever was: Fabulous. Any place that has Tucker on tap gets my vote. Unfortunately they were out. Fortuitously, Paulaner was their backup. ON TAP. If you like German food, and who amongst us doesn't, you will like the Old Heidelberg.

Excellent authentic German food! Great service by Gisy. The Three Potato pancakes, Zigeuner schnitzel and the Sausage sampler platter were excellent. The coup de grace were the Honeycake and Apple Streudel desserts! Sinful. A true hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale!

One of the best things at Old Heidelberg is the schnitzel. But that's not all, another great thing is the service, and we've been lucky enough to have Zoran as our server. His attentiveness is wonderful, he is very friendly, and his recommendations are spot-on every time. His favorites, especially the bavarian schnitzel have become our favorites too. We are looking forward to going back and trying more of Zoran's recommendations!
