My family and I had an amazing time. The island has been beautifully renovated. It felt like we had stepped into a Polynesian island village. The animal enclosures were all very nice, clean and large. All of the staff were amazing and courteous. The food was delicious. Stella the manager is awesome!
Great tour guide, Chris!! Great food!! Great servers at dinner!! Super Fun Variety Show after dinner!! It was a wonderful family evening! Strongly recommend!!
The cruise and narration (full of puns and jokes) make the cruise along the New River
on the way to the private island fun and entertaining as the boat passes along "MIllionaires' Row," with jaw dropping views of multi-million dollar homes and yachts. Sights are beyond belief and comprehension for some of us who can't begin to imagine the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Once the cruise reaches the island, visitors are efficiently guided to the dining area with live entertainment for the all-you-can-eat BBQ of ribs, chicken, peel and eat shrimp, bbq beans, fries, cole slaw, buns, and ice tea. Other beverages may be purchased. Servers are pleasant and constantly replenishing empty foods and liquids. After dining, there is time to roam about to see the birds and animals on display before the live stage show begins. We were treated to a magician, a comedian, a ventriloquist, and Samoan fire dancer and company. Lots of fun.
The island looks very nice at night with lush foliage and lighted tiki torches.
Cruise, dinner, and show run four hours--just right for a fun time.
After the stage show, visitors are guided back to the boat for the cruise back to the Bahia Mar Marina area taking in more beautiful homes, boats, and yachts.
(The island also has a gift shop and food stand.)
If you are not. Fan of outdoors & heat you may not enjoy this. BUT, I highly recommend you try it. Food is awesome, tender & seasoned perfectly. The comedy, magic, & performance show is Hilariously corny. The smooth cruise boat ride thru Millionaire row is relaxing open covered/shaded ride. The horrible jokes will keep you laughing, homes breath taking & the night return awesome moonlighting depending on the weather. My daughter said in spite of heat/weather she enjoyed it. I've been 3x, never disappointed.
Wait staff very helpful & friendly. We fell in love with Ms Beverly's southern "Ok Baby", but she was like a dotting caring mom.
The Jungle Queen Riverboat provides an incredible experience with fantastic entertainment and mouthwatering BBQ food. The combination of lively shows and delicious barbecue creates an unforgettable and enjoyable outing for all.
The thing to do to have a pleasant night:
• Be early - Please keep in mind you need to arrive 45 minutes before departure time if you are late you won't be able to do the trip.
• if there is any event and the parking is increased than the regular price (which is $13) speak with anyone in the boat who valued the ticket.
• the best view for the whole voyage is the first floor in the front.
• Don't forget to explore the island you will find some fascinating animals.
Based on my experience I had a nice and different afternoon. It is important to highlight that you have to arrive 45min before because the boat leaves on time which is excellent. The experience lasts 4 hours. The first hour is a guided tour, Monica was our tour guide and she was amazing. On the boat you have bartenders and a bar with options of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. When you arrive at the island you are greeted very nicely and seated all at once for dinner. After dinner you have some free time to visit. I really liked the animals and the spots to take pictures. At 8 o'clock the show starts until 9pm, we enjoyed it.
Some not so good points:
-The service is a little slow, but we understand that there were at least 300 people at the same time.
-There are not many choices of sides, and the ones there are are almost all sweet. In my case I have insulin problems and too much sweet makes me sick (you have the sweet bbq, the beans are sweet, the salad is sweet and the bread is sweet too). However, the food was good!!
- The parking at departure time is not related to the cruise but it is important to mention that it is complicated to leave so be patient.
Overall we really enjoyed the jungle queen, it was a different kind of evening. And we do recommend it!
Our family of 4 had a fun time on this cruise! Despite the heavy rain, they still did a good job at keeping us entertained. They even provided free ponchos.
The meal was great on the "island". The only thing holding me back from a full 5 star review is the price of the slushies for the kids and some of the entertainment acts weren't as fun as I was hoping.
All you can eat BBQ! The food was amazing. Bbq ribs were cooked to perfection as well as the chicken. The sides we delicious. Entertainment was nice, especially the last group. I loved the boat ride. You get your money's worth for sure.
This was definitely worth the cost. A little Riviera sightseeing of all the beautiful Homes along the waterway takes about an hour. Then you arrive at their island for dinner and a show. Dinner was good, enjoyed the all you can eat ribs. BBQ Chicken was okay. There was also rolls, beans, potatoes wedges and coleslaw. I was full. Staff very nice and helpful kept the food coming. Then there was a show, very entertaining we had such a great time.
Most fun thing on our trip. Sat on top seats of the boat for best view. Loved seeing all the millionaire homes and boats. Just things you wouldn't normally get to see. Loved how we had a narrator giving us all this information. Then reaching the island, was beautiful. The birds, the flowers, and it was just lovely. The all you can eat bbq ribs an chicken was awesome, plus all the fixing. Then you could get ice cream, watch a show or whatever. Just a wonderful time. Then a nice ride back on the boat. Would 100% recommend this to anyone.
Such a nice tour and the dinner on the isle was very good. Show was nice as well. Overall fun and entertaining experience. All Staff, singers, bartenders were attentive. Great experience!
It was a wonderful evening! We sat at a table on the top level and had a few drinks (which are good prices). We enjoyed the beautiful view of the yachts and homes on the river. The dinner was great and the entertainment was amazing. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing time!! The boat ride to their private island was adventurous!! We had seen multi-million dollar houses with beautiful, large yachts! Houses range from low millions to 32 million dollars, pure opulence! The weather was perfect, not too hot... once we arrived on their private island, we had dinner with unlimited ribs, bbq chicken, baked beans, and coleslaw! It was pretty tasty, too. The ribs just fell off the bones, yummy!! Then it was the for the show... fire blowers and dancers, comedy, along with a James Brown impersonator, he was the best act!!! Then we sailed on back, so a total of 4 hours (2 hours traveling to and fro)! You must experience this at least once in your life. You'll be glad you did!! 🙂
So much fun for the whole family. Then me being picked for part of the show made great stories for our vacation memories. The boat ride to and from the island was great with awesome views. The island itself was beautiful. Entertainment was great with lots of laughs. Would definitely recommend.
