I’m a local who left town years ago. I was not excited to go to a restaurant on the strip, during spring break, but circumstances prevailed. I was very pleasantly surprised. It appears a boozy hangout bar from the street, but behind the crowd and the fire pits, was a quieter, cozy place. And best of all, the food was quite good and the service friendly and attentive. I ordered small plates and my daughter ordered serveral sushi items. Everything was very good. The sushi burger was a bit hit. I ordered the special, Tostones...delicious. The shrimp and Heirloom Tomato salad were als quite good. Prices were also quite reasonable...but we’re from San Francisco!
Tatiana and Victor were so accommodating as wait staff. They were quick with every order and drink, brought everything out piping hot and made sure to have gluten free options available for my Celiac girlfriend. Highly recommend. The food was fantastic!
We loved this place! The views! The friendly and accommodating staff and the flavorful food was amazing. I’m definitely bringing my family back for seconds. Also, We’re non alcoholic drinkers, when the General Manager found out he provided us with Mock-tails. This was a pleasant surprise and was much appreciated. :)
Located inside the hotel but also has access to Fort Lauderdale beach. Great ambience, humble and attentive staff and good food. Our table had the Lobster Rangoon and fries as appetizers… YUMMY! I had the strawberry mamacita (signature drink) which had the perfect amount of alcohol. Entrees were Korean chicken, rice bowl and cookie for dessert. Went back the next day… LOL! It was that good!
The best edemame! Great drinks & cool atmosphere. Korean fried chicken was delish as well as the steak. The Mac n cheese was only alright
A day at the beach is never a bad idea when you live in Sunny South Florida and Sun Surf Sun nestled in the Fort Lauderdale Hilton brings the flavors of the oceans right to your plate.
You will need to make a Reservation to secure a table because this place is always full of hungry visitors who are ready to enjoy the delightful surf and turf-inspired menu.
We decided to take a bite out of this octopus salad (pictures below) which was loaded with chunky pieces of octopus paired with mouth-watering butler beans. We were so invested in the experience that we didn’t capture many shots of our dining options but what I can say is that everything was just splashing.
Brunch review. We liked the Cuban Benedict the best 9/10 and the shrimp and grits 8.5/10. The short rib burrito was dry, lacked rib meat and overall unfulfilling. We guessed it was 70% tortilla and 30% filling. Not worth the $19 we reluctantly paid. 4/10 (we mentioned all of the above to our server at the end of the meal, and the server said they would pass on the comments but nothing else was done). Coffee good, dark and strong 7.5/10. It wasn’t the cheap breakfast blend most places serve. The orange juice was served over ice, acidic and lacked freshness. 4/10. The service was slow and subpar. It took about seven minutes for a server to attend to us after we were seated and we received our first drinks literally at the same time the kitchen was bringing out our entrées. (the kitchen was faster than the server) On a good note I was happy that the manager came over and asked how things were even though the manager was an Ohio State fan.
If it were not for the attention of the manager and two out of the three entrées being wonderful, this would be a three star review.
We went over memorial day weekend for champagne brunch (now $50pp with choice of 4 champagnes). Our server Chris was fantastic and was happy to let us order at our own pace since we were sharing all the dishes. We try to go every few months as it's a great way to spend a sunny day
Fantastic dinner with ocean views. We started with the Caesar salad and oysters. Next we had sushi, which was fresh and delicious! Our main courses were the Bavette steak and Korean fried chicken. Each dish was equally as good as the next. Staff was friendly as well!

What a wonderful experience we had at S3. My husband and I started with the crispy rice cakes w/ tuna, which was delicious. We both had the salmon with quinoa and riced cauliflower and it was the best salmon I ever had. Drinks, dessert and service were all great! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Omg. The freshness is incredible!! This sushi roll is to die for!! The grilled octopus is outstanding. What a gem it is here. The prices are so reasonable I felt like I should have paid more than we did!!
My friends and I got together at S3 for a birthday dinner. We had wonderful cocktails and delicious food here! The goat cheese croquettes are amazing, along with the sushi! The outdoor seating is very spacious, well lit and exactly what we were looking for on a nice evening. We had the super lovely waitress, Nelly. Nelly helped us pick out the perfect drinks, apps and entrees. We will definitely be back! Thank you again, Nelly!
