The Parlor

Service was a bit slow but to be fair there was like one waitress taking care of about 8 tables. My double cheeseburger was exactly the type of greasy diner food I was craving and the sweet potato fries were a pleasant surprise. If you're passing through Forks, not in a hurry, and want some comfort food, check out The Parlor.

Great food! We were so surprised to learn that they are new to Forks. It seems like a town tradition already (there are even seats labelled for the locals!) The Cinamon Roll Pancake was delicious and huge, and the homemade jam for toast was a perfect touch. The owner was friendly and chatted us up. It was wonderful!

The Parlor is exactly the kind of restaurant you want to find in a place like Forks. A good breakfast and burger joint where the food is delicious and authentic cooking, not cookie-cutter. I splurged with a double bacon cheeseburger, with two quarter pound patties, real cheese, bacon and veggies barely contained on the bun, placed on a satisfying bed of real french fries. In addition, they have a surprisingly good salad bar, and the breakfast items my companions had were described as "yummy"! Despite an incredibly busy day, the servers were graciously authentic with their smiles. Perfect price for the generous portions. A quaint and playful decor made it feel like a comfortable lunch rest, exactly what the weary traveler needs on a warm June Sunday with the family.
