We were on vacation and I was craving smoked meats. We saw this place at the end of our block and gave it a try. The food was delicious. Portions were big, meat was tender, and flavors were spot on. (Best cornbread ever.) The staff interacted with us and our "hot foods" loving son. They were had some fun having him sample their sauces. It was fun watching him register the heat/flavor. He said they were all yummy. Great food. Great staff. We all left feeling pleased, and wish we could eat there again!

This place is absolutely great. 15+ years in business with well trained staff and pit masters. As soon as you walk in you smell the smoke, where can you find that these days?
As you approach the register you see the fire in the background cooking ribs.
Rib tips are great as well as friend chicken.
Hot links are the perfect match.
Well done!

Food was promised 25 minutes, was not prepared in the time given, I had to wait 35 additional minutes. Asked for tartar sauce on the fish. Catfish and fries were drown in sauce.

I visited this establishment on 04/13 at about 8:30. I placed an order for 2 large tips and a large turkey tip and 6 wings. The food was horrible. The pork tips were oven roasted and mostly fat. The turkey tip were maybe a turkey breast cut in long strips an bbq sauce put on it. I wish I could do less than 1 star. When I called to let them know thinking that maybe because of the end of the day (close at 9:30) maybe that was the problem he yelled at called me a con artist. Just to let you know my bill was $35.84 for the 2 large tips and $26.93 for turkey tips and 6 wings. This place is HORRIBLE.

The food was great and the service was amazing. Made us feel like family. My son loves hot sauce and they hooked him up with what he says is the best bbq sauce he's ever tried.

Website and google both say they restaurant delivers through DoorDash, but DoorDash doesn’t have them listed and when called and asked about it the guy who picked up was extremely rude when asked if they did delivered

Read between the lines of the low star reviews that basically write, "The food is good, but..." and instead, focus on the "food is good" part. Then give this smokehouse a try. You won't be disappointed.
Sure, it might not be your favorite rub, and tastes. That's personal. But, in Chicagoland, two simple facts make for great tasting smoked meats, and Smokin M's BBQ does both.
1. The pitmaster actually knows how to cook.
Don't laugh. Good pitmasters are not that easy to find.
Smoking is more art than recipe, and definitely takes time to master.
We've all experienced smoke houses across our area that can stay in business while regularly selling dry out, over cooked smoked meats.
2. The shop owner truly cares about serving good food, and has some type of quality control system in place.
Meaning, they work the business, instead of the cash register.
Lets review the RIB TIPS with mild sauce.
The rub was perfect.
It's not a thick crust type that overpowers, and is in itself, a whole separate layer of taste to crunch through before getting to the meat.
Here, the rub compliments the meat, creating a balance, allowing the smoked meat taste, and bite, to come through with a rub spice, not the other way around.
The Tips were moist, meaning... smoked properly.
Service is subjective, but the "L" place on 75th, is famous for downright rude service, and their indifference to customers.
It's unimaginable any place can have worse customer service than Lem's, and besides, this place has consistently better ribs than Lem's anyway.
The sauce leans heavily towards a vinegar taste. The tomato is still there, so it's has a complex, deeper flavor.
Taste vary, but Smokin M's BBQ
is easily worth a drive to check out.
