Applebee's Grill + Bar

AVOID. Completely unmotivated staff not focused on customer service. Also some concern around health code adherence. We visited for Sunday lunch and it took over an hour to receive our food. Our waitress was completely oblivious to our wait times and when questioned just blamed the kitchen staff. By the third time I complained she said "nothing I can do." No apology or accommodation offered. Additionally the hostess didn't greet us and was silent as we exited. The manager needs to do some work on customer service with the staff. Burger was undercooked and we were too angry to ask for another... Lastly, and of major concern, was the combination of condiments and cleaning supplies on a number of tables. As I sat in our booth there were multiple bottles of sanitizing spray bottles facing me less than four feet away; next to that were trays of condiments. I'm not sure if tables are the best places to keep cleaning products and if those cleaning products should be mixed with condiments. Upside..all the staff wore masks. Bottom line avoid this restaurant until there is a management overhaul.

I was ready to not like Applebee's yet again but I was pleasantly surprised this time around. Adrian was our server and he was great. The food was actually good and timely. He was very nice with our son and our dinner guest loved the ambience. There was a large party sitting directly behind us so it was a little bit noisy but otherwise all was good.

Our two meals were prepared to Excellence. I hope that Thomas (Restaurant Manager) will stay here for a long time. I live in Key Largo and will continue to enjoy a lunch or dinner at least every other month. And with Football season just around the corner can make this an every weekend visit to enjoy the NFL.

My experience is missing a star because of the waitress. My food was missing a shrimp skewer and I had to flag down a random employee to get it. It wasn't busy and I had to flag down ANOTHER person to get my drinks that were waiting at the bar. My waitress was like Casper the ghost. At least my food was hot lol.

Following the idea that 2.5 is the average my experience was a little below average. The staff was decently nice but we had to ask for our sauces several times, never got a to-go box and got a wrong drink back for a refill. The food quality was standard, basically whatever you can expect for a chili's-tier restaurant is what you should expect here.
