Ricatonis

Ricatoni's was highly recommended by local residents, so we were excited to give them a try. We were not very impressed. First, our orders were to go, it took them forever to take them. When we got the orders, they they were lukewarm. The chicken tenders were dry and overcooked, the veal was tough, the alfredo sauce lacked flavor and was runny, and the bread served with the meal tasted stale. The salad with ranch was pretty good but that's all we enjoyed.

Service was terrible and beyond subpar. Hostess seemed inconvenienced by my mere presence. Sat me at a table that wasn’t cleaned off and was sticky. In addition it was super wobbly. Not to mention I was not given any silverware either. So already off to a bad start. But the issues only continue from there. The bread seemed to have been reheated and was stale. The herbs were ok. I ordered the Veal Parmesan which came with a fettuccine Alfredo, and Caesar salad. But you could have fooled me the salad was bland and flavorless, not to mention that lettuce tasted old and far from fresh. The veal was the highlight of the entire meal but that’s not saying much. It tasted like it was precooked then microwaved. The red sauce was bland and the cheese isn’t even worth mentioning. The fettuccine noodles themselves were gummy and cold. The sauce was while it didn’t taste bad. It definitely left a lot to be desired. Was from a fresh alfredo sauce, and was reminiscent of something from a can. But somehow, was worse than that. Because at least the canned stuff has some type of flavor. That’s not even mentioning the portion size. Considering the price it leads you expect to expect either a good portion of food, or food so flavorful it more than makes up for the amount. But this food was neither. I’ve seen childrens meals at other restaurants with better portions. I’m not even going to mention the cannolis. The only highlight of the night would be the waitress I had that night. She was super friendly and accommodating, and that does best mention. But considering that I was seated for well over 15 minutes, she also was not faultless.
