Stefani's Bistro

My husband picked up breakfast for us from Roberto’s this morning. I ordered the “crab” Benedict. Apparently they use imitation crab. I included a pic of the few pieces I was able to pick out as it is 90% cake and 10% “crab”. I called and explained that if they are going to use imitation crab they should really let their customers know in advance. The guy acted surprised, like he had no clue what I was talking about. I told him to go look at the crab cakes. After a considerable pause he said “crab claws” as if he was reading the ingredients off of something, but gave no further explanation. Any time I go to a restaurant and they have crab Benedict I get it. I lived here my whole life. I know what crab looks and smells like (side note, there was no pungent crab smell which was another give away). Idk where the owners of this restaurant are from, but trying to pass off imitation seafood as the real thing in a costal area will never fly. I was told they would switch it out for something else. I explained that’s not really an option to come back to pick up food for a second time this morning. I was then told that a refund isn’t possible bc “the card has already been ran, so I don’t know what to tell you”. Had I not gotten the “I don’t know what to tell you” response, I probably would have just thrown my food away, been disappointed and gone on with my day, but since that is their level of customer service I decided to leave a review. So moral to this review, if you want authentic crab or good customer service don’t waste your time.

Best Bistro on the island! We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the corn beef hash, both were 5 star! From presentation to taste, definitely excellent quality. The staff was curtious, kind and helpful. They made the already nicely decorated atmosphere, feel like home. Will def tell friends about this place and eat here again!

I absolutely love supporting local businesses and this is one of my favorite spots. The owners are on staff & greet you with a warm smile. You can dine in or take out. There is outside Cafe seating. On the sandwich menu the hand crafted specialty sandwiches are all made with light crispy fresh artisan bread. They serve an open menu Breakfast & Lunch. You can even get homemade fresh lasagna at 7:30 am for all you night crew workers! They do have an icecream bar with shakes, cones, & cups. Stop by because I know this place will become your next favorite stop just as it is mine....btw take the time to read the owners story on the frontvof the menu.
