Fantastic evening for dinner out. Wonderful food, great atmosphere..quite the hidden gem. Bruschetta was nice, the crab cakes were probably the best I've eaten ever. The chicken marsala , the salmon, and the ribeye were all very savory. Salads and vegetables were extremely fresh. We made room to share a piece of their lemon cake and it was the perfect finshing touch. It's a great place for special special occasions or just the well needed date night.

What a great find in Flatonia. Everything we had was amazing. Wine Special (if you pay cash). First of all bread was brought out, and we were told it was from France (not made in the French style, but imported bread). I don't usually eat bread, because it typically lacks taste. Their bread was really tasty (we ate the whole basket). We started with the crab cakes. I love crabs cakes when they are good, but unfortunately, most are not. These were the best I've had in years, and was served with a lemon caper bechamel sauce...so good. For our main course, we split the lamb chops. Served with a garlic butter sauce, mashed potato and veggies. My only complaint was that the potato could have used more salt, but I'm a saltoholic. We finished the dinner with the lemon chiffon Italian wedding cake. It came with a caramel sauce which was fantastic. My only complaint about the cake was that I did not save enough wine to go with it, the red wine went really well with the caramel. We pass this may about once a month and will definitely make this a regular stop.

Try as you might... we have... drive one hour in any direction and you will not find a restaurant that is more delicious than this. This is a HUGE FIND! The chef Gabriel is a master of the art... French cuisine that explodes with flavor and melts in your mouth! Together with his lovely wife Elizabeth who serves the customers with kindness and Texan hospitality, this is a truly dining experience that you must have and share with your loved ones. A bit expensive for dinner (but you'll understand why once you taste it) but the lunches are very affordable and absolutely outstanding! Crab cakes! A hamburger more delicious than you have even sunk your teeth into! Steak sandwich! Hand made ravioli! Prime rib! Salmon! Italian cream cake! Shoot...even the salads are WONDERFUL and the bread is shipped in from France! Well worth a trip to Flatonia... you will come back over and over.

Filet was awesome. I cut through it with a butter knife. Had the crab cakes and cheese plate for appetizers. Both were excellent. Waitress was excellent at explaining the story of the restaurant, a blend of French and Italian flavors.

Absolutely amazing. I took my friend for her birthday. We had the cheese tray, the house salad which had mandarin oranges with French vinaigrette, the Cesar had fresh anchovies the the creamiest Cesar dressing. We had the grilled ribeye and the grilled lamb chips with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Sublime. We had a great visit with the owner Elizabeth. This place is a must and is worth the drive from Austin to Flatonia.
