Looks small from outside but there is plenty of seating. We had come from Jeffery's Antique indoor flea market on the same exit (161)
The food was all really good, service good & wait for food was good/as expected.
Our table ordered:
Fried Mushrooms ☆☆☆☆☆ (ranch/horseradish sauces)
Wings (ordered to go, crispy)
Hatch burger with homemade chips & pickle ☆☆☆☆☆
8 oz Sirloin with scalloped potatoes & dark horse salad ☆☆☆☆☆
The steak was a pleasant surprise. I was a little worried about ordering steak but it was really good. The seasoning & cook was perfect for me. The salad was also really good. It had a radish slice, half an egg, croutons & bacon. I added onion to mine.
The chips were homemade & nicely seasoned.
The wings we got to go & ordered crispy and haven't tried but they smelled fantastic.
There is a great variety on menu. Something for everyone 😀

Really the place is Awesome. We were traveling over the holidays and came across the Dark Horse. It was a little off the beaten path and the building is not fancy but the food and service were outstanding. I had the mushroom burger with onion rings which was worth ordering again. Baby girl had the bacon cheeseburger with fries and she loved it - the burgers are thick and prepared well - Wifie had the club sandwich with a side salad. The club sandwich was really good but the side salad was great - their blue cheese dressing is fantastic...
The Dark Horse is worth stopping by for a meal when in the Finley area.
What can I say! I LOVE finding hidden gems and this was 1 of them! Fun atmosphere for family or a night out! The bartender Princesses J...I believe was a hoot and made you feel completely at home! I was lucky enough to be there when they had the prime rib special and let me tell you it was spot on! YUMMY! The salad was amazing as well! I did take-out and had a cocktail while waiting...they. were good as well!
I've already recommended it to 2 different people and I encourage you to stop if in the area!
WOW! this is an incredible place to eat! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but you can tell the kitchen and wait staff know what they are doing here! Had great service and great food! A friend of mine asked for a specialty salad and it was no problem along with being delicious! Their house made blue cheese dressing is out of this world.... I can't say enough good things!
Their prices were really good too, especially for the quality! I ordered a blackened burger with blue cheese and house cut fries. I believe it was 8.99, which was definitely worth every penny!
Along with the great food, their service was great! This place was full when we went there, but you'd never notice from the timely staff! Definitely going to be a repeat customer!
Food and drinks are the best! Had a great waitress, Amy, who kept her cool even tho the restaurant was clearly under staffed! Customers just need to be kind and patient!.... just had breakfast here.. definately not out first time.. the breakfast foods outstanding.. you get SO MUCH for your money! Cheapest and most delicious in town! And Amy, our server, we love her! She's quick, gets it right and super friendly!
I ordered the double with no cheese that was cooked to medium. The beef patties were cooked to my desired taste and the flavoring was really good. I would definitely order this again if I was super hungry!
