Marvin's Family Restaurants

Stopped in today with a coworker that highly recommend this place. I consider myself a “buffet professional” and in my travels have tried many. This is the first one I’ve taken time to do a review on. I enjoyed everything! The catfish and fried chicken were the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, light and crispy. Not in the least bit greasy or tasting like it had been cooked in old overly used oil. Which is common in many places. Buffet was kept well stocked even with a full house. The staff was friendly and attentive. This is one place that I’ll definitely make the 1 1/2 drive back for.

Typical southern buffet. Cheap, quick in and out. Not a lot of variety. Not a lot of flavor either. The 3rd star purely for the friendliness of staff. Green beans bland. (Maybe add some bacon?) Mashed potatoes bland. (Add some real butter?) Mac & Cheese bland.(no cheese flavor at all) Fried chicken was pretty good.

What an experience it is to eat at Marvin's Family Restaurant. Great service, friendly servers and the food.... oh my! Always fresh food with tons of flavor. If you're in the mood for some of grandma's cookin, then this is the place to stop. Great desserts and we've never left there hungry. I highly recommend you stop in and give this place a try!

Would give a minus but it doesn't have that option on here. My husband and I have ate here off and on for years but I have to say this is the worst food I have ate in a long time. The food not all but more than half tasted like it was old mixed with new. Don't know if it's different cooks but if it is someone needs to train them. Would not recommend eating here to no one.

I appreciate the fact I left my sunglasses on the table and a lady called my friend after she found his number and got them back in my possession as they were very expensive, also the food was just as it always is flipping AWESOME!! The blackberry cobbler and ice cream Mmmmmmm The fried chicken and catfish, but anyway Thank You 🙏 I wish I could afford lunch here everyday as it is a taste of heaven.
