Penguin Ed's is an okay BBQ place. The smoke of the meats is inconsistently smoked. Sometimes are better than others. Then there are some things that are better seasoned. the wings are really good for example. And for a "wing" you get the drum and the flat together as one. They have a 50c wing special. So I got 10 "wings" which was the equivalent of 20 smaller wings elsewhere. The yum-yum bowls are good too. It a version of a bbq Frito pie sans chili. I must mention there are no french fries of any sort as well.

Have been eating at penguin Ed’s from the beginning. I remember when there wasn’t a restaurant and it was just doing gigs here and there. I have always loved the food! No longer! Today I paid 19 dollars for three very small ribs and a salad. They must have been short on ranch dressing because what they provided had the consistency of water. Seriously like white water. This is the third a final time I will be receiving tiny overpriced ribs and just less than Quality food. Time to venture out and see what the competitors are serving. Their cookies are still very good though.

Penguin Ed’s has the best BBQ in town. Super cool atmosphere and each location is diverse in design. The staff is super friendly and always helps with recommendations. If you’re looking for a local favorite, look no further. You won’t be disappointed!

So glad they decided to open up a Penguin Ed's out west. Their salads are really good and fresh. Everything is really good here. Huge baked potatoes and really good loaded. They have daily specials also. I always order double broccoli because they have the best broccoli. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Order a cookie and you won't be disappointed!

I got a blue burger, meat was cooked to satisfaction. Fries are large chunks of potatoes, good, but was really craving traditional fries. The blue cheese was salad dressing poured on top of the burger, good, but would've been so much better with real blue cheese crumbles. Funky atmosphere with retro blues music.

I'm not generally a big fan of bbq, but Penguin Ed's is the exception. My boyfriend and I love getting take-out from here. We haven't even tried much of the menu because the sliced beef brisket is so good we end up just craving that. 1 lb of meat, a pint of coleslaw, and some buns provides two meals for each of us for about $25. The bbq sauce is awesome, the hot has a good kick without being TOO hot, the mild is thick and sweet. And their cookies are amazing. I like every kind I've tried but the coconut macaroons are the best I've ever found. I'd eat them every day if I had the metabolism for it. 😉 Plus the staff has always been friendly and the penguin decorations are interesting and cute.

I have found my new favorite sandwich! I usually order the pulled pork dinner but tonight I decided to get the Philly sandwich and I am so glad I did. It was AMAZING! Tender, great flavor, perfectly toasted and buttered bread, onions and green peppers sautéed to perfection. My husband and I usually swap bites but I was selfish and kept all of the sandwich to myself. I will certainly order it again and I give it a solid 10.
