Mr Taco Loco

We first visited this location during a visit to the area last year. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. There is a salsa bar in back to add toppings to your meal as well which is nice. I'm a big fan of fountain Coke products which they have (yay!!!) and outdoor seating which they also have- love the view. This will definitely be a regular stop when we visit this area!

Here’s some pictures since the lady on the phone was denying they cooked my food with anything hot. I’ve gotten this order multiple times and my enchiladas were so hot, I couldn’t eat it and ended up getting sick. When I tried asking the lady what happened she immediately got defensive. No apologies. Nothing. She acted dumb founded. My fiancé had to end up calling her. She offered to make a new order but why would I want to risk getting sick again. Wouldn’t recommend anymore.

Decent inexpensive Mexican food. Great location for stopping for lunch by the trail. They advertised Sat/Sun brunch from 11-2. we went this Sunday and they were closed. When we had been there the day before, nothing indicated they would not be open the next day. Perhaps because of Memorial Day? Regardless, it would have been nice to save us a trip.

Do not i repeat Do not eat in here, i used to work in here and their food is trash. the utensils are always dirty (that’s why they look white) and they don’t wash them correctly. Worst one time the pork was already smelling bad and expired and they did not care and made the tamales with that same meat. Gotta be careful with the salsa bar as well bc the days that are not busy they don’t change the salsa nor the onions and cilantro, the containers for the margaritas are never washed either. Choose a better place to spend your money and eat good food !

We really enjoyed our visit to Mr. Taco Loco this week on Taco Tuesday (and New Year’s Eve). We tried all the different options and settled on the Chorizo tacos being the most scrumptious. Friendly service. Good quality of food for the price. The location is fine, central to downtown and the University, and on the bike trail, but certainly not in the best part of town. The inside of the place is clean and well decorated. A few big TVs showing sports and some great Spanish music playing (maybe a bit too loud) in the background. We’ll be back!!!
