Cafe Rue Orleans

Cafe Rue Orleans has become our go-to Cajun & Seafood place, located in NWA right on College Rd in Fayetteville AR. The food options are plenty and easily sharable. Seafood was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Wait staff is very friendly, attentive and courteous. The young lady who waited on us was very polite and recommended items. And we are glad that we ordered those dishes. It is very small restaurant but don't let that fool you as it definitely packs a punch. We have become a regular customers now.

Where to begin with this disaster of a lunch?. It should have tipped us off that the ceiling was peeling and flaking enough to fall into food at any moment. The place was so dirty. I'll start with that. Condiments were sticky and never washed. The chairs hadn't been wiped down in months. The floor was obviously not mopped and clean. Shutters were heavily dusty. Flies bothered us while we ate. Thee were crumbs under the glass top of of the table. We should have left and called the health dept and maybe I still will. The wait staff weren't trying very hard to work. I know waiting tables is a tough job but it was her job. The food was ordinary and all the fried things tasted the same and obviously we're fried in the same oil meaning dessert tasted like fish. I do not know how they stay open. Zero Stars.
