Farrell's Lounge

Surprisingly great food. I’d always thought of Farrell’s as a local bar, not a local restaurant that serves alcohol. I knew it wasn’t primarily a place frequented by undergrads, but honestly I had no idea how nice it really was. Went out on a date night and had planned to go to another Dickson favorite, but the snow and ice had apparently closed it down. So we thought we’d give it a try. The service was great. The prices were fine. The food was really good. We especially liked the fries. We didn’t know that they served entrees here, so we went with the burgers, but I will be back to try something off of the dinner menu and not just the bar menu. Give it a try. I hope you will be pleasantly surprised like we were.

This was one of the few restaurants open on Dickson on Sunday so it was packed. Pros: *Open on Sunday *Wide menu with cheaper bar food options on one side of the menu and more robust options on the other side *Lots of different types of meals *Draft Bud Light and Miller is $2.50 all day on Sunday. *Food was good. Cons: *We sat at the bar because there were no tables available. The bar has a step down lip on it so your plate is a little further away than the norm. *Shrimp and grits were kind of lukewarm. *Fries were kind of dry. *As with most places, seemed understaffed with a lot of piled up used plates and glasses at the end of the bar, but you could tell everyone was very busy given the crowd.
