Red lobster has always been one of my favorite places to visit, however it's been about 6 years since I've been in the Fayetteville NC location. Today I decided to give it a try since they have the unlimited soup, salad and biscuits on the $9.99 menu. (I'm not sure how long that's been a part of the menu).
I arrived at about 2:50 p.m. on Friday. The restaurant was not busy and I was greeted in a timely fashion by the hostess. She escorted me to my table and gave me the name of my server for the day. Two lovely young ladies arrived at the table Charletta & Jalonda and stated they will be taking care of me for the day. Immediately I was blown away by their pleasant smile and energetic personality. I was asked if I was there for a special occasion and the professionalism continued from there. It was from that moment that my dining experience was enhanced.
Since I already knew what I wanted there was no time wasted on the menu. They took my order and the kitchen was quick in preparation. In no time I was enjoying my first cheddar bay biscuit. The presentation of the food was visually appetizing. The food temperature was not as quite as hot as I would like it but it was acceptable. My servers checked on me, my beverage was never empty.
My complete food order for the day was the unlimited clam chowder, house salad with ranch dressing, cheddar bay biscuits and water with lemon, I also added the mushrooms.
I was seated near a large party which took part in the unlimited shrimp. Their servers were also very energetic and attentive ensuring that refills were provided timely, they seem to be pleased with the service they received as well.
I was pleased with the cleanliness of my tables and the floor. I did not visit the restroom on this visit I cannot comment.
My server asked if I needed anything else and which I replied no and she probably provided my receipt. I used the device on the table enter my phone number as I am a rewards member and paid my bill and was on my way.

The star goes strictly to the service. The waitress was very warm and very attentive. But the food on the other hand, TERRIBLE!! Crazy thing is Red Lobster use to be a family tradition, after church we would go as a family and enjoy each other over great food. But now, the prices have increased but the quality of the food has drastically decreased. The food portions are smaller, the options of a soup and salad are now added as a side instead of it being part of the meal. I will not return unless someone is paying for me to be there.

First let me say the service was great! Eric did his job.. The food on the other hand has drastically gone down hill.. They cheddar bay biscuits were gross. I ordered crab legs, they tasted very bland and there was hardly any meat in the legs. I guess the crabs stopped their leg days. Lol. My husband had fried fish and shrimp and he said it was lacking in the seasoning as well. Needless to say we probably won't be back. It's sad because Red Lobster use to be the togo for seafood........

I don't remember a day when there was not a RL in my life. As an avid self proclaimed foodie, this chain restaurant has been a great place to be for celebrating special events or for their Lobster fest event. I think I have had everything on the menu thus far! We travel to the restaurant as a family and often share each meal we order with each other. Hey, don't forget about the fabulous biscuits, they are out of this world! The seafood is always fresh even in the restaurants that are not near the coasts. I try to sit by the front door so that I can hear the excitement when kids walk in and see the live lobster tank, fills my heart with joy.

Service sucked. It took over 45 minutes just to get the food. When we got the food the lobster and shrimp were over cooked and the steak wasn’t cooked how we ordered it. I saw one guy that came in before us he had to get up and get his own forks because he was brought a salad but had no way of eating it. Dr. Pepper was flat and watered down. When we told the waitress about the steak she did offer to make another one but we had already waited 45 minutes for the first 2 steaks and didn’t want to wait another 45 minutes for them to be made right. Paid over $85 for a meal we barely touched. I wouldn’t waste my money eating at this place. Definitely won’t be going back here.

I went on a typical Friday and had a long wait I didn’t mind it was well over 55 minutes. Upon walking in the odor from the booth seat is pretty bad. The restroom definitely needs clean up. The waitress wasn’t as attentive and some of the food were unavailable. If the restaurant is super busy on weekends you should have more inventory. It’s my 4th times here and I have almost the same experience.
