Unfortunately, the indoor dining area was still closed due to Covid, so we took advantage of the beautiful fall day and sat at their outdoor picnic area. Fast, friendly service, fresh, hot food and crisp, cold A&W rootbeer! Absolutely LOVE that it's been basically unchanged for over 60 years, a beautiful time capsule. Go back to the 50's and enjoy a simpler time (if only for lunch 😉)!

Burgers & onion rings were delicious! Bill was $31. & some change .... the girl that delivered my food asked if I wanted change for the $40. I handed to her..... I did tip ..... but asking for a $8 plus tip was a bit much!

This is a great place for lunch. The service is outstanding and the food came quickly and prepared just right. And rootbeer in a glass mug, it's the best.

3 stars.... cause our "waitress" actually tried.... um, she wasn't to enthusiastic about, well....anything? Also, our food was only ok. It was extremely over-priced for the quality and quantity of our meals. My son got fish strips and there was hardly anything in the breading. And mostly at the top of my list, if you order a "coney dog" like, anywhere, that's dog is at least an 8in. Why would A&W stoop so low to give you a kid sized hotdog with almost enough chili and cheese to flavor it... very disappointing! Especially since you're paying for a coney dog, you should get what you pay for.

We LOVE the Faribault, MN A&W!! We had to go to Owatonna from Minneapolis and always stop at this A&W. Outstanding cheese cony dog, onion rings and burger. Love root beer with “top offs” from staff. Super friendly staff!!
