Firehouse Subs

I got a salad and for the first time in awhile I felt I got more food and a better deal than the others who got subs. Pastrami ruben was what my coleague got. They have tons of hot sauces which pepped up the food to perfection. Totally blew me away. The added benefit of them bringing out the food was nice.

Was our first time trying Firehouse because of a TMobile deal. Was much better than I was expecting (I'm not typically a big sandwich fan)! The wait was a bit long...about 20 minutes because they were so busy. The workers were all working their tail off, though, and one of the workers threw in a brownie for the wait. That was a nice gesture. I'd go back based on today's experience!

My food was good, the lady that waited on me was very nice but I noticed one of the young men reach up and scratch his head and then went right back to making the order he was working on….he didn’t wash his hands or change plastic gloves. Just thought that was kindve nasty….it’ll be awhile before I go back.

Today was our first time eating at a firehouse subs and there was a really long hair on the bottom of my husbands sandwich. You would think they would be a little more sanitary and take extra precautions during a literal pandemic but I guess not. The manager offered to make another one but we didn’t want to drive 25 minutes there and back again. And that doesn’t change the fact that the same people would still be there making the food. Super gross.

While the food is good, it seems the employees don't care about getting anything right. When I order through Uber Eats, they never include the fountain drink and even tell the drivers that the order is all there. I only get the drink when the driver double checks and calls them out on it. The other week, the delivery driver showed up and the employees claimed they were closed, 1.5 hours before the time on the door said they were closed. I wish I didn't have a huge fee to order from the Firehouse subs in Collinsville instead of this one in Fairview Heights.
