Wow wow wow! Going off whim, a craving for a sweet, cold treat, we drove 14 miles to Rita's one hot summer night. So worth every minute. The Dark Cherry Ice boasted bits of real cherry amongst the authentic deep purple red ice.(not that fake bright red food dye stuff). The flavor brought me to a world of relaxing waves, cool ice cubes and just ripened fruit, picked fresh. While I sat on their outdoor patio, (dogs are welcome) I seriously forgot that it was 99% humidity at 85 degrees that evening. My only complaint is that I had to keep reminding myself to slow down and savor the treat.... it just went too fast. Maybe I'll just have to order the Large next time.

Asked for cherry sundae. I got a chocolate sundae with some sliced cherries on it. I took it back and she told me all their sundaes had chocolate on it. Glad I had an epipen with me. I have never gotten a cherry sundae with chocolate on it. It tasted nasty. Never go here again and don't recommed it.

I just found out I was pregnant and this is my #1 craving spot. Homemade Italian ice and frozen custard and they make MULTIPLE different concoctions mixing the two. The flavors are great and made with real fruit pieces in them. Pregnancy makes the lemonade flavors hard to deal with, but they are all delicious! And the workers are so friendly, let you try EVERYTHING and make sure you like what you get before they let you pay and leave. Highly recommend this place!

Let me start off by saying, me and my husband we’re having a really tough day after traveling 1 1/2 hours from home, truck breaking down, and among other things, we decided to stop and get some custard. We were walking up as Miss Rita was walking in, they were closed but she let us in anyway!! She was so sweet and polite and got us the BEST ice we’ve ever had. And they were free. Her hospitality was the best part and really made our day. We will be back ♥️
