Really this place is a 4, but I upgraded to a 5 to help counteract the haters here. Yes the facility is dated and English is their second language but they always double-check my order on the phone and when they ring me up. I have never had anything but really good General Tso's, Orange Chicken, Lo Mein, Mushu Pork, Fried rice and Sweet n Sour chicken, “Nobody hates the good ones. They hate the great ones.” -Kobe Bryant
Not saying they are great, but for the price, really good food, hot and fresh.
This is the only Chinese place my family goes to in the Fairfax area. Their portions are so generous, everything is so fresh, prices are relatively a bit cheaper than other Chinese places, and the food is prepared so quickly. A reliable, yummy option if you’re in the mood for Chinese!
Read the reviews here and some of the negative reviews are exaggerated. One star for commenting they’ll try it, one star review for giving green beer (idiot), and one star review for not being a good Chinese restaurant like P.F. Chang or Charlie Chang (really? Those are good Chinese restaurants?). Tried it based on negative reviews to see how bad it was.
Yes some of the dishes are pre-cook. However, for what it is, it’s not bad at all. Hell, what do you think McDonald, Burger King, any other fast food restaurant do?
It’s cheap, fast, and certainly better than any typical fast food restaurants I’ve been to, and food is half decent. If you want higher end Chinese food, go somewhere you’ll pay $15 per average for a dish. Definitely will be back.
My family enjoys coming here on Friday evenings after a long week. It's informal dining and is cheap for the area! We usually get the fried rice, egg rolls, and hot and sour soup. They are consistently good! Option for take out if you like as well. Movie theater upstairs for a convenient date night.
I've been coming here for 5 years now and it's really great each time. Their fried rice is amazing! Best I've eaten. We love their friend rice with the triple delight, so so good! The wait time is always less than 15 minutes. I'm usually here 2-3 times a month with the boyfriend. Really happy he introduced me to this place that I consider our little date spot :)
Just went to the one in Fairfax. I didn't call ahead or anything, just stopped in and asked for takeout. Had my pork fried rice and won ton soup within 5 minutes -- very fast. The won ton soup is a little more onion-y than I'm used to, but the pork fried rice is standard. I got both for around $9. I'd go here again --thinking maybe the bad reviews could be for different stores of the chain.
