La Cocinita Restaurant

We had La Cocinita cater the late night bite for our wedding and their arepas were a huge hit! They drove their food truck to our venue in St. Charles, Illinois, cooked the arepas on location, plated them in portable containers, and had a staff member serve them to our guests. The wedding was two weeks ago and we are still getting comments about how guests wished they would have eaten more arepas! The arepas were absolutely authentic and delicious and we can’t wait to go back to eat them again. One of our favorite aspects of the whole catering process was how easy it was to work with the team. We set up a tasting with Rachel a few months before the wedding and she did a great job introducing us to their menu, answered all of our questions, and seamlessly integrated the arepas into our wedding plan. The team was incredibly responsive via email and always very professional. We highly recommend this place for its great food and amazing catering!

Delicious Venezuelan arepas! Two good veggie options (one of which is vegan). The vegetarian mushroom tacos are also delicious, although a little salty. The staff is really friendly. Lots of food for a reasonable price! Right now they are serving food in takeout containers but you can still dine in.

Had a frijoles and queso fresco arepa but the cheese seemed more like queso cotija can’t fool me I had their food at the food truck thursdays at ravinia husband had pulled pork and jalapeño salsa they also added cheese even when I told the guy only the meat and salsa customer service was lacking the guy said how many orders I said two since I wanted two arepas and no where on the menu on the truck display did it say 11.79 was one or more arepas I couldn’t assume it had two he seemed upset about it would I have their food again yes but would I go out of my way to get it no first experience is what counts to me

Amazing option for any meal, catering or food truck events! Love their arepas and their team is top notch. This company supports the community from feeding frontline workers to families in need / struggling with housing. I love stopping by their storefront and seeing them at events all over Chicagoland!
