My wife and I enjoyed a low-price and delicious dinner at Dozika. She had bibmbap, while I had teriyaki chicken with tempura vegetables. The servings were generous. The server was fast and friendly.

We had shrimp shumai, dragon roll maki , ramen and ikezo jelly sake. All the food were outstanding.

Dozika is a cozy, little restaurant that fits in well with its surroundings.
Entering the front door is somewhat of a tight squeeze due the two front doors opening in opposite directions and a two foot space between them, in which you have to stand before entering or exiting.
Once inside this establishment the host makes you feel welcome. I've only ordered california rolls for pick up and must say that as far as California rolls are concerned, these are the best yet. They are always freshly made and you are able to taste the individual flavors without one overwhelming the other. The ginger is freshly cut and adds to the flavor.
Picking up my order was never a hassel or wait time. My order was always ready when I arrived to pick it up.
I have not tried other items on the menu as yet but if the California rolls are any indication, I must say that we are off to a great start. Quite possibly one of the best places for California rolls in the Chicagoland area.

Sushi was amazing. Ramen was disappointing. The broth is extremely salty and flavorless otherwise. The pork is boiled to flavorlessness.

My daughter and I were in town visiting Northwestern University, and we stopped in here on a whim. Turns out to have been one of the best meals of our whole trip. Highly recommended!

Had not been at Dozika for awhile. Enjoyed my food and it was as yummy as I remember it to be. Had the lunch Asian pad thai bento box. It was delicious. Service was pleasant.
