Bubba's Barbecue

A nice little barbecue place in Eureka Springs. The inside is decorated like a retro diner and is a little small but they have a nice patio outside that will seat quite a few people. They have a lot of good options for food so it’s easy to find something delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was very good and the coleslaw is fantastic! I really enjoyed their homemade barbecue sauce! Bubba’s Barbecue is a great place to get some good barbecue food, if you are a fan then you will enjoy eating here!

The place is very clean. And I mean VERY clean, including the restrooms. Nicely dressed people to help you decide what to eat if you run out of decisions. Food was good. Not outstanding but good and decent. Warning: if you choose any alcoholic beverage (beer and wine included) from the menu, you will need to show a valid photo ID. It was the first time ever (for me) when I got to be asked about my ID in a restaurant so I could buy a beer, despite of my face that doesn't hide my age and my grey hair. But we laughed on it. Just so you know.

Bubba’s is a pleasant surprise for barbecue in Eureka Springs, AR. I was not as hungry as I thought I was when I ordered ribs for one. I was presented with a slab of uncut, smoked ribs with a side of beans, bread, and slaw. The ribs were a bit crisp on the outside, primarily tender on the inside between the bones. One end of the ribs seemed to have gotten too much smoke heat, causing a slight scorching as does most smoked cooked meats. The ribs had an excellent deep smoke taste to them. The sauce is served with ribs. The sauce was delicious poured over a few of the ribs. The pulled pork was some of the moist, tender meat I had tasted in a while. I was too full to finish off the ribs, so I made a to-go plate. The ribs tasted even better after an overnight setting in some sauce. The service is outstanding. They have an outdoor patio with an outhouse. Make sure you give the “house” a try if the beer or tea is too much!

I will say, I love to travel and try the local food. But this place was false advertising to the fullest. This is NO BBQ place! I repeat, NOT A BBQ restaurant at all. I ordered the Brisket combo. My boyfriend ordered a sampler combo. What we received was far from what we ordered. We were served POT Roast instead of Brisket. The slaw was mostly mayo. And it could have been considered a soup on its own. The other food the other customers had "looked good". I just hope it was seasoned. Because what they served us wasn't. Please, at least use salt, and pepper. And do not add liquid smoke. This place isn't cheap. Not satisfied. I will say, the one good thing they do have is a Tripple Chocolate Cake. Won't be back. 😔
