Classic American style Donuts . I love the pink and orange Donuts . Marty makes the Donuts by hand every day and still loves doing it. The store's been here for 45 years and Marte still runs the place.

The donuts here are irresistible, I used to go to yumyum donuts ,but not anymore.
The owner and is a very nice guy and the crew is very friendly.

I've been in Escondido for a better part of 17 years, while my wife was born and raised here. So for her, Marte's Donuts were a childhood staple. To be here when the last donut was sold...it was surreal. To remain open for 41 years is astounding for any business, and seeing the generations of customers (and family that ran the place) all together brought a tear to our eyes.

I enjoyed my experience Verry Verry much. Great food! The gentleman’s name was Sam we called him Sam the donut man. We went in for a couple donuts and he had a wonderful attitude rand up our total and said it will be 9$ and a smile. Gave us a few of his favorites to try free. I highly recommend this place!

Very sweet older gentleman working there greeted us as soon as we walked in and loved to laugh along with me and my boyfriends jokes. The price for the donuts are great and they are fresh too.

Marte's has been a part of the Escondido community for as long as I can remember. Nice family run shop the serves fresh donuts with a smile.

Marte has been in the donut business since before you were born and is probably the best donut maker in the West. Don't expect fancy, artsy modern donuts he makes the classics but does it right. Get there early and try the old-standard raised glazed and you will be amazed.

I've only been here a hand full of times, but it has a nice atmosphere. The owner's nice and friendly, and there seem to be the same handful of older gentlemen in there shootin the s***, all very friendly.
