I've been going here since I was little and I've loved it every time. Service is wonderful. Food is amazing. Its a nice atmosphere every time. The only times I've been disappointed is the last two times I went they haven't had yogurt, but I deal haha. Really a great place. Its romantic and honestly you Dont get a bad vibe from anyone or anything in there. Everyone is always in a good mood and enjoying the food. I love it there ah!
Beautiful pastries. Unfortunately we didn't have time to sit down and eat so we grabbed some grub from their counter. The croissants were so incredibly buttery and flakey. It's all I had but if their croissants are an indication of how good the rest of the food is here then it must be real good?
Under New Management!. I was pleasantly surprise last night to find A Delight of France under new management. The new owners are from the Escondido area and love the community, want to bring the very best french food/bakery items to lovers of the same! I had the French Onion Soup last night, oh! my!!! Yum, so much flavor and cheese, a meal unto it'self. I'm really looking forward to a breakfast, love to try everything on the menu.
Much like in Paris, plan some time when you go to this bakery, you won't regret that you did. Used to work down the street and could go Amy time and know I would get something delicious.
Great food. Not too pricey for the quality too bad the coffee wasnt available until we were done eating
Don't miss out on their dinner. This is one of my favorite places to go for a great quiet dinner. Their filet mignon with carmelized onions and bleu cheese is delicious. They also have a great pistachio encrusted salmon and puff pastry filled with chicken curry. To top it off, you can enjoy one of their yummy pastries or tarts for dessert. The dinner service is always good.
My favorite items here are the chocolate croissants and the scrumptious black forest individual cake. Really delicious! Never disappointed!
Delight of France still good. I don't know what restaurant the previous reviewer went to but it certainly did not mirror our experience. My husband and I have been eating here for at least five years and it has changed ownership again but it is NOT back to the original owner, who was Jacque. The restaurant hours have been shortened because the economy has tanked so it would be smart to call ahead and find out when they are open.
The silverware is NOT filthy, if it was why did you eat there? The food is still good although the quality has gone down a tad. It is still our favorite place to eat breakfast. The best omelets anywhere as well as great croissants and baguettes.
We certainly hope that this place does not close down due to the economy. We very much enjoy going there.
