Our go to pasty place when we're in the area. Fast, fresh and like the variety of different pasties!
Awesome breakfast pasty! yum! Will definitely be back to try others
Website shutdown but they’re open for business and easily deserve their superb rankings.
I’ve had more than my share of pasties over the years, including in Cornwall, and these were the best ever.
Half a dozen kinds were hot and ready to go so we only needed to wait as long as it took the cashier to take our order, go to the kitchen, and come out with our pasties.
Ordered two and shared: (1) chicken and (2) beef, rutabaga, and carrot. Both superb.
This late lunch stop is just a short block off the main highway. It's an attractive small cafe with a drive through window. I enjoyed the beef and rutabaga pasty which was piping hot. The pastry outer was quite soft; the filling was diced small and pleasantly seasoned. I appreciate the fact that you could taste the vegetables and not too much salt. They are apparently serving close to 400 a day here and it's easy to see why. You'll also find this on the classic "Pasty Trail". Recommended.
Wished I had a picture of our delicious pasty but we ate it too quick! Today we had the hot bacon breakfast pasty! Our favorite yet! We like this place so much my husband bought 3 frozen to take back home to WI! Definitely a good spot for a passsstee 😍
The best pasties ever! I love that they experiment with different flavors, but I love the classic with rutabaga.
Everything is made there in house, and there are frozen ones to take home if you'd like. An absolute gem of a place.
Found this place by accident but we got lucky. The pasties were excellent and I would have them again.
Allen was a such treasure at Gram's. He was willing to share his knowledge in a fun and patient manner. We purchased the frozen pasties to take home with us.We will certainly be back.
When traveling I always ask locals where to eat. Gram's was recommended as THE place to get pasties. I'm glad we listened because it made our first experience eating pasties a memorable one.
We arrived 15 minutes before the restaurant opened for the day. When a gentleman we assumed to be the manager saw us waiting, he invited us in. How hospitable! Made us feel right at home! The only drawback was there was no coffee available...so I had a bottle of iced tea while my husband had a Coke. The shell of my pasty was light, the filling was a breakfast combo. They also had frozen pasties with various fillings to go. There were plenty of gifts and t-shirts offered for sale.
Gram's Pasties was one of the highlights of our first visit to the Upper Pennisula. We look forward to returning next year.
We stopped at Grams yesterday and had a very interesting experience. Originally we had stopped at the other pastie place and decided against ordering there and stopped here instead. We stepped into an adorable shop to be greeted with a very warm welcome, we ordered our pasties and some frozen to go and enjoyed our pasties at the picnic tables out side. While eating an older gentleman hollered from his vehicle and asked us, "is that dog food good?" To which I replied, "yes, very!!". He preceded to yell to us that it was "BS" and that the pasties were made with dog meat... now I've never had dog meet but those were easily the best pasties I've ever had!!! Whatever your secret is keep it up!!! Lol thank you for making our first visit a great one! We even got a funny story to tell when we get home!!
Perfect place for my first pastie!! Beef, rutabaga, and carrot was delicious. So hot and fresh, ready in an instant. The guy who helped me, (I see from other reviews his name is Allen) was very friendly. Will definitely come back
Great Pasties, nice vibe, outdoor seating. Grab a six pack for your crew in the store and sit outside and enjoy with your pasties.
