We found this place on a road trip between Niagra falls and Chicago. It was several miles off the highway but we gave it a shot and glad we did. The restaurant was very unique and well designed. They had a huge bar and roll up garage doors (there for lunch so I assume they open them sometimes). My wife got the chicken tacos, I got the meatloaf and my son ordered a garlic pasta and an order of fried pickles. Our food was great however my son didn't care for his pasta (which he thought it was going to be something else). Server asked if everything was good, he mentioned he didn't really like his but we explained it was because he thought he was ordering something else. The server said they would take it off the bill which we said no, we ordered it and will gladly pay for it. She took it off anyway. If you haven't been, you need to check it out. Unfortunately, they are too far from Kentucky for us to regulars or we would.
The Foundry is a local legend in Elyria so I had to check it out. A great friend took me there. I can certainly see why it has a fabulous reputation. The hostess gave us a warm, friendly greeting and seated us promptly. The atmosphere is welcoming. Amber provided us excellent, professional service. She took really great care of us throughout the evening. The appetizer of Short Rib Poutine was super, and the portions were substantial. The carnivore pizza was outstanding! Loved every bite. And the carrot cake dessert is a must. The Foundry absolutely proved why they are held in such high regard. If you're anywhere near Elyria, eat at the Foundry.
We just had a soccer team dinner here with a party of 30. They had our tables reserved when we got there. We are from out of town and not familiar with the area at all. I couldn’t believe how efficient the staff was. The orders were in quickly and the food was out quickly. Everything was delicious. The drinks were really good too. They had a special fall drink menu with some delicious options. I loved the atmosphere. I would definitely go back. Thank you so much.
Also, my husband and our friend got a bacon burger and they both said, “This might be the best burger I have ever had.”
5 stars for the amazing atmosphere, incredible service and the deliciously juicy burger my wife had. 3.5 stars for my pizza. It was better than a chain pizza place but not 3x the cost better. I should have got the bacon Mac and cheese as I know that is a 5 star dish.
First time there. Kool place, excellent food and very Friendly staff. Can't wait to go back!
This place is awesome, I’m glad I didn’t go to a chain restaurant. Drinks are really really good, bartender knows her bar and her menu. Food is so tasty! Blackened chicken is amazingly good. A must-go and must-return place.
Great place. Excellent service. Had Wasabi deviled eggs and California wrap. The Lemon Drop martini was also wonderful. Great bourbon selection
