Old Country Buffet

Food was very good.I asked for some more scrambled eggs and they actually made me an extra plate.Very good service.Thanks Folks!!!

For the most part, we enjoy the family atmosphere. The servers who tend to the tables are kind and helpful. On annoyance is a couple of very arrogant servers who swerve and slice the steak/roast. They are rude, obnoxious and down right mean...one woman in particular, on the short side, long, dark hair has an attitude the moment you walk up to her. The food is good, however, somethings have been changed, not really for the better. The little stew or meat things served in the tins are always dry. The bread pudding is gone/changed...and this was one of the few places that served it and one of the main reasons my husband wanted to go! The Caesar salad is now served with a dressing on it leaving it very wilted and soggy. There used to be delicious salad fixings such as blue cheese crumbles and other things that are gone. The fried chicken which used to be perfection is overcooked now as well. Don't know what changes were done, but its obvious there have been changes not for the better. Instead of coming almost weekly (bi-weekly at least) there are months between visits now, as we've been disappointed in the food the past few times. The coupons are always helpful, but true as mentioned below, leaving off the beverage and such doesn't do a whole lot of good, however, must admit that every little bit helps and sometimes depends on whether we can go or not. Also, it would be great if the tables towards the back could be kept more open for disabled. Being so my self, we especially have difficulties on Thursday evenings as those tables are used for games and such.... getting up and down those very narrow isles are quite difficult when you have a wheel chair or electric scooter or such as I do...you end up knocking people sitting down or bumping into them ...which is why the end tables closes to the food bars are easiest for the disabled. Thank you for the opportunity to share what's on our minds. We hope that some of these suggestion can only make a good place better.

Before I start I just want to say this place NEVER disappoints and we usually come on a Saturday or Sunday depending on when we take our occasional 2 hour drive to the Corning Elmira area from our home in PA. Yeah...that's how much we enjoy it. I never reviewed this place before but we were on our way home on a Monday this time, after a long weekend, and the wife suggested we stop here to not waste time with a sit-down waitress service place and I was like 'Gee...I dont know...on a Monday???" Glad I listened to her! The staff today at around 230pm on a Monday afternoon was SUPER friendly...from the register to the lady taking our plates to the attendant at the buffet. Just super friendly happy people and very accomodating and hats off to the attendant keeping the food fresh and water fillled in the steamers. At the lunch menu prices to go up and get two meals it was LOTS cheaper than going even to a Subway! As I said earlier, always good but was more than pleasantly surprised with how great this place was for a Monday afternoon! Keep up the great work guys as most places on a Monday get the worst staff working there! Thanks again for a great meal!

The food here is good I would say for the most part. They have something for everyone. I like to go there with my family. I think it is a better value with kids. Because there is more variety for them.

Not sure what all the negative comments or reviews are about ???? We had a great experience!!! The restaurant is very clean the staff are very sweet and the food was fully stocked hot and tasty 😋 Only issue I had was getting full too soon 😩🤣🤗. We will be back for sure!!!!
