Panda Garden

Update: The menu prices have gone up a little (about 50¢ more per entree type item) and the hours a different now too. They are only open on Tuesdays in December. Otherwise they are closed on Tuesday. Good Chinese, very friendly, very fast. The prices are reasonable and you get a good amount of food. I find it better than the other Chinese restaurant Hang's in Stafford. Be aware that there is no indoor seating. There's some picnic tables in the grass but appears to be mostly take out.

Food is the best anywhere for Chinese. Prices are excellent. Everything is fresh and not overly oily. Best tasting I've ever had in Ct, NY, Nj, Mich, Pa and Del. It is, however, takeout only. Prices are fantastic when you consider the quality. Call ahead and they are always ready for you in 10 minutes. Pickup of food is no longer outside. You can go in and behind virus partition.

Fate brought us together tonight. We thought we were ordering from a restaurant of the same name in a different town, drove to THaT one, then figured out what happened and drove another half hour to the RIGHT one in Ellington. They were Super nice and understanding and the food was awesome! Still hot and delicious when it finally made it home even. I have NO reason to even bother trying the other one based on my experience In Ellington tonight. Thank you Panda Garden!

I think quite a bit of their offerings are kept frozen and flash fried on demand, but it doesn't seem to affect the quality much. The food is pretty good all around and the people behind the counter are pleasant and welcoming. Service is always quick and the interior is kept very clean and neat. The food is typical American-Chinese cuisine with no bells and whistles and the price is fabulous! Great restaurant to stop by if you are in a hurry, great for bringing dinner home on a long night, it is take out with nearly fast food speed!

Amazingly terrible. How do you do that? Panda Garden gets their food from the exact same source as Lee's Garden in Tolland. The food at Lee's Garden is good. The food at Panda Garden is hideous. The Wonton soup tastes doughy. The sweet and sour pork was cooked so long that the chunks of breaded pork have the appearance and taste of a swiveled raisin. I am cheap but even I could not eat the food we got from Panda Garden. We threw it all away and swore never again. The only good thing I can say about it is the portions are small so you don't have to feel bad about throwing it away and wasting food. I can't believe I risked the Covid-19 to venture out to pick up such horrible food.
