If you like fried seafood, and you live in or are willing to drive to Ellijay, Cajun Depot Grill in Ellijay has an EXCELLENT fried seafood platter. Catfish, Crawfish tails, Oysters, shrimp, crabcake, gumbo, hush puppies, fries and slaw. The food was, in my opinion, better than any fried seafood in my total of 8 years of living just outside of New Orleans. It didn't have that overheated/burnt oil taste to it. Perfectly cooked with excellent flavor. Service was excellent as well. We will be back.
Wonderful service and any questions about the menu were explained in detail. Huge portions. Sometimes I don't like getting too much food, but at this place, you'll eat the leftovers. Even with 7 guests and multiple courses (apps, salads and entrees) the server's time management was wonderful. Very impressed.
Quick decision to stop at this restaurant though we're not seafood lovers. they did have plenty of other choices for our palette. Our server was excellent and entertaining. Our food was presented beautifully. Would go back.
Made our way back to Cajun Depot for our 3rd trip to Ellijay. Started with a great cup of gumbo a must try here. This may sound crazy but the 🍋 🧄 wings are absolutely amazing. Sharon's crab cake dinner to finish up was superb! We always make time to eat here with every visit.

Now, the tomato-collard greens…OMG. They were delicious.
To finish it off we had the fried cheesecake. Wow! Perfectly prepared.

This has been our favorite place in all of North Georgia. Our server, Samantha, was phenomenal! She was attentive and friendly and our 11 year old kept commenting on how fast she got everything out to us that we asked for. The food was superb. Every single thing we ordered deserves 5 stars. We will be back every time we are in town! Highly recommend!
Lived here for 5 years and this was our first visit here. Why? We have really been missing out on some great food. Small place and it gets crowded quick. So get here early. May not be great for large groups unless you don't mind sitting at different tables. Now to the food... We had the catfish fillet stuffed with crab. Really!? Why haven't I ever tried this before. So dang stinking good. We also had the shrimp alfredo. Must have been 12 to 15 shrimp in this dish. Literally, a shrimp a bite. And yes. It was also good. Did I yell you about the hushpuppies? Make sure you try them. Your gonna enjoy your meal here!
We have wanted to eat it for a while, and finally tried it. We shared the appetizer sampler and were very pleased with the quality of the food. It had a lot of flavor and was very interesting.
The location is a very neat older building near the old train depot. It has a lot of atmosphere.
Well worth the visit.
We hadn’t been here in quite a few years, but I was craving shrimp Alfredo and remembered how good theirs was… it was just as good as I remember! The crab cakes and beignets were delicious too. The service was also awesome, we definitely won’t wait so long to go back again!
