Food was okay. Nothing special. We ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, chicken tenders with waffles & coffee. Service wasn't the greatest. Waitress only came around to take our order and then when we were almost finished. Didn't get a refill on coffee until we were well into our food. For the scrambled eggs, they were runny and mushy in the center. Breakfast came out to about $34 before tip and extra charge added when you checked out. When we were paying, we noticed at the register that there was an addition 4% fee on all card transactions which should've been visible when we entered, not when we were paying. Most companies charge under 3% for credit card transactions which means this place is making $ off charge payments which I think is pretty shady. If this establishment needs the $ that badly, they should either raise their prices or go to an all cash system. Will not be back.

**Update** After coming here 2yrs ago (2019) I have to say that the food is still perfectly delicious, our waitress was amazing while dealing with our party of 12 aside from her other tables, and our experience was as good as it was before. They are very efficient in the kitchen getting all of our plates out at the same time and it is the best bang for our buck. If you haven't been here you need to go! It might not seem like it from the outside but it is the best mom n pop place there is for a hardy breakfast without breaking your wallet.

We hired Popi’s for our 100th year anniversary celebration of our Metal company. They were beyond amazing to work with. They handled the table reservations, they helped with setup and had 7 servers working all evening. The food, everyone kept raving about the food. There was so much our Sarasota employees are enjoying a fabulous lunch today. We will definitely be choosing Popi’s again.

This was a first visit. A friend and I were in Ellenton to go to the outlet mall and decided to try Popi's. I had the Cowboy burger and it was delicious! Also had onion rings with it and they were big and delicious. We drove over an hour to go the Ellenton and we're very happy we tried Popi's place. Good was fresh, prices reasonable and portions generous.
