Olde Main Eatery

I ate at the Olde Main Eatery today for the first time. I will definitely be back. I had the #1 breakfast. Two eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast, the staple of a good diner. If you can't do that right there is no need to go back. Let me tell you, they absolutely did it right. The food was fantastic and the staff was amazing. They were very busy on a Sunday morning. There was plenty of staff, all running around with coffee pots, water pitchers, taking orders, clearing tables and taking great care of their guests with a smile on their faces. We never needed to ask for a refill on coffee or more cream. I don't think my cup was ever more than half empty. If you're looking for the best place to have breakfast or lunch, put your phone down and drive straight there. You will not regret it.

This was an unexpected venue: Joyce and I absolutely loved the old style look from outside but once inside it was an amazing welcome from all staff, and a wide choice on the menu. We absolutely loved the grand breakfast which reminded me of how my grandma used to make it: breakfast with everything in it, topped with your choice of bread - I got delicious rye toast, with my deli choice coffee. The best part at Olde Maine though was the welcoming smiles and chatting with the servers; it felt like meeting long-time friends of old. This deserves 4 and 3/4ths out of 5 stars. Nice small hometown homey look and feel. Prompt and friendly service. They are and stay busy. The table staff doesn’t have much down time. Food is very good. Been here before for breakfast and will be coming back. I’m always on lookout for a drive to spot for a breakfast. Try them, you shouldn’t be disappointed.
