My best friend is from Colombia and I have been looking forever for Colombian food like my friend’s Mom used to make us, and I finally found that at La Tipica.
The empanadas are delicious and the perfect mid-day snack for a quick lunch. I rarely write reviews, but La Tipica deserves it more then anyone!

Stopped to get some food to go during lunch. Place was busy but didn't have to wait long to pick up my order. Place is on the corner of Julian and Morris Streets across from Elizabeth train station lobby up the hill.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Great service, prices were good, and the food was great. Had a steak and it was expertly cooked. Would recommend to anyone!

Nice Colombian restaurant in Elizabeth NJ. I usually dont write about Restaurants but this place was all right, nice little atmosphere, and the food was fresh, got a few smiles from the waitress and everyone was very welcoming. I highly recommended this place.

Small place but you can find any type of Colombian food, they have specials for lunch every day , Colombian sodas, juices, coffee etc. Great service.

My favorite place to eat lunch during this week. I consider myself to have very discerning taste. The sopa is amazing daily and the pollo is seasoned to perfection. Home made salsa picante....I could go on!
