Linder Haus

For some reason, this sat in my "to review" folder for far to long. We ate here pre-Covid and it was amazing. I love German food and had to try the new place in town, not having found a reliable substitute ever since the German Club on Ft. Bliss closed. I discovered that this was hands down THE best German food in El Paso. The food was hot and fresh and the serve was courteous. I strongly suggest you try.

I can't speak to the authenticity of the food, but I can say how incredibly YUMMY the food is! I ordered sides and loved them all. My mom had the jaeger schnitzel and the meat was so tender. The breading was crispy and the mushroom gravy really topped it off! We started with the wurst plate appetizer. It was nice to try the different sausages and mustards. The beer selection was good and they have a wide selection of desserts.

The venue was nice. The service was good. The food was okay. This place is quaint, but clean and well-organized. The a/c was very cold, so bring a jacket. The waitress was very attentive. Spoke a little German to help culture the theme of the restaurant. The food was okay. The appetizer fries and strawberry ice cream were the best part of the meal. I would honestly give this place 3.5 stars, not 4.

A regular Friday night outing for dinner brought us here. Having driven in from the wilds of West Texas, I was looking for for something good and something a cut above the quick and utility places where I grab meals at work. Definitely good food. My two companions and I were able to take home significant portions after having eaten probably more than we should have. I chose the Jager schnitzel with a monster potato pancake und sauerkraut. Others tried the cordon Blue and the unadorned schnitzel with fried potatoes. There was discussion about the cucumber salad and the amount of dill, but since I have not experienced this in it's natural environment I will reserve judgment on that item. Service was attentive and I don't think we were lacking anything during our meal. Dessert was enjoyable as well though we kept pushing the last bite around the table until it came to me the third time. Two quick notes. They are not serving beer yet. From what I understand that is in the early stages. Parking: it's in a strip mall, so watch out for people who are not watching out for you.

The food here is amazing, like being there again. We had 16 people in our party. The staff was attentive and very funny. They have one of my favorite desserts, spaghetti ice, ice cream made to look like spaghetti. So great. After dinner is done, the staff gave my parents pins/flags to place on a map Germany. Both of my parents were stationed in Germany in the army. I would go again and make it a regular place.

Excellent choice of cuisines with very generous portions. As someone who has spent countless years in Germany, this is as authentic as it gets. The food was fresh, exceptionally flavorful, prepared very timely and the service was outstanding. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking authenticity, with an environment to match. A true 5 star experience!

the food is great. my second time there and the jagerschnitzel is fantastic. if your a gravy fan like me you won't be disappointed. great gravy with lots of mushrooms on a wonderfully crispy schnitzel. I really enjoyed the potato pancake and red cabbage as well. my companions had some of the other types of schnitzel and were also quite impressed. I need to try something different next time but it's hard when the schnitzel is that good. highly recommended!
