Aloha Hawaiian Bbq

It was ok I guess cause I am was hungry. Serving size was small but for the price it was ok. I got one Kalbi rib with the Katsu. I asked for all Mac salad but still got rice and little Mac salad. Maybe cause they were closing soon and was running low with other orders to fill. Service was a little slow to take our order, we waited for about 5 minutes for someone to come out of the kitchen to take out orders, but it was quick to get my dine in food. They did ask a couple times if everything was ok while I was eating, so that was nice of them. I would go back again if I’m ever around the area.

I really want to give this place 5 stars, but in the last 8 years this place has really let itself go. Very disappointed as too how watered down the sauce for the Katsu has become. It used to be nice and syrupy to where it would stick to the Katsu chicken. Although the chicken is nice and crispy, IT IS BLAND, so the star of the dish is the sauce with that entree. Also, everytime I have gone there recently, it has always empty. Years ago, it was pretty busy. I don't know what happened with management that they have let this amazing place (West) get to this point. All the other meats are very delicious as they don't rely on the sauce. Every meat has it's own incredibly delicious flavor. It's nice they give you a bed of steamed cabbage leaf. The pasta salad is not too good, but the rice is of really good quality (I'm so glad they haven't let that go). Don't let my preference of a thicker sauce discourage you from visiting this place. You won't regret it. It soo damn good 😋! I recommend the barbecue chicken and short ribs to start your experience as it will be some of the best flavored meat you'll buy in El Paso.!! 💪

I think this is more of a man cave type food I don't particularly things that women like this type of service and presentation they get. I love it my wife's not too fond of it so whenever we can go together it makes me happy. But I really like the food there the only thing is I do think that their chicken is a little old so if I were you I'd stay away from the chicken maybe I just got a bad batch who knows. But I've gotten there plenty of times and had their meat and it is great.

Do not go solely based off of the 5-star rating. My girlfriend and I happened to be on the West side for some business and we were in the mood for something new. We found this place and pulled up with a sense of skepticism. It was the dinner rush and the place seemed empty. Once we walked in, our skepticism rose due there being no one by the counter. A young gentleman appeared, pointed us to our menu and took our order. It was at this point that I noticed a heavenly scent in the air. Once the food came out, our doubts were gone. The food was amazing. Each bite felt like a little slice of the island. I will most definitely be making the drive back to this side of town.
