I'd say more 3.5 stars. I came here based on the reviews and the good things I heard about this restaurant. The owner was very nice and attentive. Service was good as well. Orders were made very quickly. However, the food was just ok. I ordered the chicken platter over rice. The chicken was good but slightly on the salty side. The rice was clumpy. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that but i prefer the grains of rice to be separate. The best part was the pita. It was super soft, fluffy, and chewy. Definitely tastes homemade. Overall, I think it lacked that wow factor. I'm glad I tried it but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

I ordered the chicken shawarma over salad ($13+tax). It comes with a side of home-made, warm, fluffly pita which was a nice surprise. The salad is the standard mixture of lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers which was overall good, but the lettuce itself was not the freshest though. The chicken had flavor although slightly salty and ever so slightly overcooked such that it wasn't tender. Could be an off day, since there were a lot of good reviews. It's the 1st time I tried this establishment. The owner seemed friendly (I always watch how they interact with customers) and that's always a huge plus. I read the plaques on the walls - always nice to see the history of places and how it got started.

This place is definitely not Mediterranean. It’s more Indian and that difference is very much noticed in the flavor of the shawarma. That’s not to say the food is bad, it’s just not what was expected from a Mediterranean place. A plus is that you get a lot of food for the price you pay.

Located right off the New Durham exit off I287, this would have been an ideal pitstop to grab something quick to eat. With falafel being their signature dishes, we ordered a couple falafel pita sandwiches on this first visit. It took 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, the sign instructed to wait outdoors once order is placed. This is a first as far as COVID prevention measures, but I treated it as a positive. Hand sanitizers were on the order counter as well as at multiple tables. Plexiglass sheets were hang and masks were worn. You certainly feel safe to order food here. As for the falafel sandwiches - the pitas were toasted perfectly and the toppings were fresh mix of red cabbage, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumbers. The optional tatziki sauce was good, make sure you ask for it. The price was on point. The only issue we had was actually the falafel itself. For some reason, all of us experienced something undesirably hard on the bite. That's actually a serious downer. I'm taking off a star for that. On a subsequent trip, we ordered a few chicken shawarma pitas and a chicken shawarma over rice. Unfortunately, the chicken could not have been any more saltier. A big let-down.

Pros: Great and fast service with a smile. Good place to go for quick delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Option to have salad or rice! Cons: rice may not necessarily be fresh (mine had "balls" of rice), but not a deal breaker.

We enjoyed the fresh vegetables and the spices and flavors. The food was good but the Jerusalem platter should come with 2 pita breads 1 is to little. I would have rated it 5 stars if the inside would of been newer and more organized. It's worth trying it.

Delicious Falafel, everything super fresh, very nice couple working the counter... Despite being very busy with online orders as well as in store customers still managed to move relatively quickly. The bread though, wow was it fresh, must be made on site. Will be back.

Food here used to be awesome. We used to order from here every other week, but now I believe the quality of food has went down. The price compare to food its now pricey. I don't mind paying for food but the quality / quantity freshness of food makes me thinks twice. Im going to give them another shot but after that might have to find another good spot. Also I feel their Salads are being pricey for small containers.
