My honey and I celebrated a lovely anniversary dinner here, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Nicely decorated and comfortable Up North restaurant. My honey had the bison steak medium rare, and I had the Great Lakes whitefish. Both perfectly prepared. Our waitress Jill was very attentive and even graced us with a special anniversary cake, complete with sparkler on top! Very nice touch, and a special way to end our evening there. Delicious food and great service from start to finish--highly recommend!
My folks and I spent a wonderful New Years Eve dinner there. Their staff was helpful and friendly, and the food was superb for such a busy holiday night. The owner Pat even came buy to say Hello and see how everything was okay. Since it was my parents first time eating there, they loved the atmosphere at my favorite table by the fire on a very cold winter's night. Thank you all! Happy New Year!
We had a great experience at Northwoods Steakhouse. We came to celebrate my father’s birthday. Our waitress Jill was fantastic! The food was incredible. We’d definitely recommend this place - the atmosphere is so warm and cozy. We plan on coming back here asap!
Excellent New Years Eve dinner to close out 2021. Had the new york strip; wife had lamb chops. Disappointed they didn't have scallops, but meal was great.
If you're anywhere near East Tawas, and you want food so incredibly delicious it's a religious experience, visit Northwoods Steakhouse. The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and intimate. Our waitress, Tequila Sheila, didn't steer us wrong, and was warm and sweet in the best possible way. The French onion soup is amazing, as are the BBQ ribs. Also, their Bloody Marys are the best I ever had. I love this restaurant and will definitely be back whenever we're in the area.
This is our favorite restaurant while my husband and I are up at the cottage. He loves the prime rib, while I really enjoy the perch or salmon. Cocktails are always great. And the creme brulee is delicious! Friendly and fast service.
Wow... yummm... perfect! Seems to get better every time we've been over the past 2 years. Never disappoints! Iz is our favorite server at this point... muchas gracias senor!
Went out to have a nice high end birthday dinner and that I did. Our waiter Is, short for Ismel was fantastic. He was there when needed and gone when not! The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly and I even got a free piece of Turtle cheesecake to take home. We will definitely be back to eat here for our next celebration!

This is probably one of the best dining experiences in the entire state. Great setting and atmosphere, fantastic staff and the food is exquisite. My first time ever having Walleye was here this past weekend and it was delicious!
Just had a great Valentines Day dinner. My wife had the Lobster Tail and I enjoyed the Filet Mignon. The service was superb ….. thanks Shiela! The meal was cooked to perfection. Plan to return some time soon.
