The Farmer's Grandson

This is a nice place to stop and grab a burger, sandwich or pizza. They have good food and prices are very reasonable.

Ate lunch here today. Served by Ricky and the experience was awesome. I hope Ricky is being paid well for not only his culinary skills, but excellent customer service skills! Local truck driver.

So you’re some farmers grandson... Does that mean you can cook? Does that give you some chef cred? I don’t know about all that, but I do know my spicy chicken sammich with egg, avocado and pickles now holds the world record for best 24 hour gas station food. The spicy chicken sammich from FG’s is what you wish you were getting when you order a spicy chicken from any chain, ANY. Since it was breakfast time I added a fried egg and avocado. Bomb! FG’s loses one star because being a farmers grandson doesn’t mean you can necessarily hire good help. I’d have loved to have been helped as I stood in the “pickup” area before both employees wandered over to the “order” area. Then, another employee wanders by without acknowledging me. Next, one of that pair over by the “order” area wanders off, no eye contact. As I’m finally about to say “excuse me” real loud to everyone, anyone, probably no one, the guy who’s attention I’ve been vying for for several minutes must have felt some eyeballs on him as he finally understood why I might be standing in the “pickup” area staring at him. I finally got my food, which was just sitting there waiting to be picked up all this time, sans napkins, dipping sauce or even a thank you and sauntered out, probably never to return. A shame as that food was so good.
