I always get Greek food when I go there. The spanokapita is the best around. I have been with others who have only found it okay but anyone getting Greek food loves it. I have always found the staff pleasant and the owner also. I have been going there for over twenty years. I would recommend it.
We had breakfast. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Service was a bit slow. We did have 8 in or party. Quality was very good. Portions were also good.
Love It!. Demetri's is wonderful! Great service and atmosphere to dine at! I fine the wait staff is pleasant and the Greek food is excellent and the dessert is to die for! When ever I have friends and family from out of town come and visit, I always make sure I take them there! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Yes it's a little dirty but if you like dives with great food and a great view the Greek food is awesome. All the souvlakia are great, Greek potatoes are yummy, and the Greek sampler appetizer is delicious. Best rice pudding ever

Wow. Just wow.. I am a local and I absolutely adore this restaurant. The selection of foods will fit any taste, but the Greek cuisine is to die for! I am especially fond of the dolmades and spanakopita. The tyropita is also addicting. The Greek potatoes have been soaked in Greek dressing and are a comfort food-lover's dream. Anyone coming to the Fredonia-Dunkirk area should not miss out on this dining experience, especially during the summer months when you can eat on the patio and, on some evenings, enjoy the patio bar and live entertainment.

Loved dinner at Demetri's On the Lake. No wait for a table on the deck, and we only saw three bees / yellow jackets despite the heads up from our hostess. Mackenzie took care of our drinks right away and gave us time to peruse the ample menu and daily specials. That of course compelled me to go overboard with food, but I loved every bit of it. Started with their loaded potato soup, then had the Wednesday Wings Special, ten for $5.00. (You MUST order wings when you're this close to Buffalo. It's written into the New York State constitution. Look it up.) My son beat me to the punch ordering the Buffalo Tator Tots, but that didn't stop me from getting my own. The menu has TONS of options, especially if you like Greek food like souvlaki and moussaka. I was tempted, but opted for the fried scallops, which tasted even better looking out over Lake Erie. My son had the Texan Burger with Onion Rings, BBQ sauce, tomatoes and lettuce. My wife and daughter are less adventurous and went with very generous helpings of chicken fingers and fries, but we all walked away with leftovers for tomorrow. It was just what the doctor ordered after a 7 1/2 hour drive with sporadic torrential downpours. Now, I'm going to drift into a food coma and dream of hot wings and sticky fingertips while the Mets spank the Braves in Atlanta.
Great location by the Dunkirk pier. Friendly staff, though, seemed to be understaffed. The food was delicious. I had broiled perch with Greek potatoes. My mother had broiled haddock and said it was a bit dry.' Yellow jackets were relentless. Otherwise, we would've remained on the outdoor deck enjoying a beautiful summer evening. Definitely recommend if you're in the neighborhood.
The staff was very nice and the food was good! There was a bit of a wait and one of the kitchen stuff came out to apologize for the wait because he just started a few days ago, which was ok. We understand how it is starting a new position so it didn't bother us one bit! Thank you for serving us! My son did love his Mac cheese btw lol.

I had the chicken souvlaki dinner that was outstanding.
My husband had a hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. He said it was the best roast beef he's ever had!!

It was beautiful right on the lake but with plenty of shade if that's what you're looking for. The food was excellent which surprised me. I got the special beer battered perch and fries. It was perfectly crispy without being to greasy and dense. The fries were delightful. Overall can't wait to go back 😄
Make sure your hungry when you go here. I thought I make it light lunch and order just an appetizer! I still needed a box to take with me when I left. Great food good people. I’m glad we stopped in on our way through town
Well this was an unexpected pleasant surprise. We had the Mediterranean Style broiled fish and it was excellent. At the base was a perfectly cooked, tender and juicy piece of haddock. It was topped with sautéed spinach, onions, tomatoes, and feta cheese. Included was a house salad which was fresh and crisp, and tasty mashed potatoes. Even the coleslaw was delicious. Service was excellent and the view was lovely. Don't let the exterior fool you, this is worth the visit.
The location is great- with the overview of the great Erie lake dock side. Enjoy the mesmerizing sunset from the outdoor seating with a sip of Samual Adams. The greek spices are great. I never leave the place not trying their Gyro....
Great food, amazing staff and wonderful, gracious owner! Visited 2 days in a row because it was literally that enjoyable. Demetri takes pride in his business and I highly recommend a visit to the tiki bar overlooking the lake or the restaurant!
