Billy Sims Bbq

Lots of people have difficulties with certain types of food not digesting well. I try to not make a fuss, just eating what I know I can. But when it comes to needing sustenance that will not twist your gut into knots, for me that's protein. My body doesn't digest a lot of vegetables. And barbecue kind of gets all clumped together as being some kind of smoked meat with a slathering of sweet or spicy sauce with cold sides. But smoked meat and barbecue sauce are not the same thing. Billy Sims' smoked meat is divine. The ribs are succulent, slightly caramelized from the flame, you add sauce if you want but I don't need it. This meat is good. That means they buy a good quality of meat and they know how to cook it. Their sides are yummy, although I can only personally speak to the potato salads and the mac and cheese because everything else is inedible to me. Those are tasty! But I don't go there for the sides. I go there for the meat. I think some of us are throwbacks to previous evolutions, because there's no doubt in my mind I'm a carnivore. I don't care what anybody else eats, that's their business, but come from my ribs and we'll have to have a chat outside.

We ordered 3 meals for DD. I'm certain when you eat in the restaurant they give you way more in portion size than take-out. Not only did my "sliced brisket " have chopped brisket but there wasn't even enough meat to cover the entire bun. My potato salad that came with the meal was watery and looked as if it had been sitting way too long on the counter instead of the usually fresh creamy style that is usually served inside. One of our other meals was supposed to have "chopped brisket" but it had shredded beef (or pork, not sure which) on the baked potato. And the 3rd meal also didn't have a good portion of meat on the bun either. It's sad when you pay a decent price but the restaurant isn't respectable enough to care about the quality of food they serve.

Their customer service always is horrible.. have attitudes... salads are sometimes decent, yet the more I order, the more yellow spines from the bottom of the bag make up the whole salad. It would be nice to get a green salad when they cost $10 ... the 2 meat meal... don't waste your money.. $15 and if you want hotlinks, they literally give you 2 tiny hotdog looking things.. just very disappointing...

In town for a funeral and ordered from here via door dash. The food was delicious; meat and sides were both quality. Meat portions are a little small for the money. Unfortunately, our $60 order didn't come with utensils, napkins, bbq sauce, or the pickles, onions & peppers ☹️ I called and was put on hold to talk to a manager, but no one came back on the line. So, I hopped in the truck and drove there, kind of defeating the purpose of delivery. I walked in and told the nice girl behind the counter about my missing items and Levi piped in with "well did you want those things?". Yes, Levi. I did. That's why I ordered them & then had to drive all the way up here... to get those things. 🙄
