Main Moon Restaurant

I spent $42 on a TERRIBLE lunch for two. Everything is burned and swimming in vegetable oil. The wonton soup has no flavor, and I asked for three spring rolls; they brought three orders, all stuffed with absolutely nothing but cabbage. The entire time we were here the man and woman in the kitchen were screaming at each other, having a heated argument. This place has gone so far down hill, we won’t be back.

It's quick, it's fast and the food is quite good. Not much for sit down dining, but you can if you want to. Friendly cooks make to order within 10 minutes time. We live 10 miles out of town, so we stop in every chance we get when we know it will be too late to cook at home. Just stop in, order, pick up and go! Works for us and for really quick bite, the Chicken Lo Mein is under $5

We have a Main Moon, where I live in Canton and my wife and I frequently order from there when we're in the mood for Chinese since the pandemic. The "New Main Moon" is not it for me. My wife ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken and the Sweet & Sour sauce was so light in color, like a light pink vs the reddish color that we're used to. I ordered Egg Foo Young and the gravy for that was a bit sweet and darker brown, rather than the lighter brown color, and savory flavor that I'm used to. When my wife and I go back, we'll get Chinese from our Main Moon or Belden Village Mall, before going.

I have eaten here once every month or two for many years. This is basically a take out Chinese food restaurant with a few tables for dinners. There is nothing fancy about the place or the people. They work long hours to take care of their customers. Occasional family squabbles break out behind the counter. They seem like good folks, just have some cultural differences. The extensive menu is what you probably expect from such an eatery. Their shrimp egg roll, actually what I would call a spring roll with a very thin, crisp wrapper, is delicious. I have never received a bad meal here.

I just ordered from this place and I got delivery. They said it would take 45 minutes. They didn't tell me how much it would be. It took an hour and a half. I ordered chicken chow mein and fried dumplings. Took them out of the bag and the "meat" reminded me of a slimey slug. I was questioning if I should try it or just throw it away. I decided to try it and It had the a disgusting texture I can't even begin to describe. The dumplings were fine but they weren't the greatest. This place doesn't even deserve one star. I will never buy from here again.
