Have eaten here a few times , always prompt and fast service . Some comfort foods, mixed with good southern spices and twists to make it worth returning. Burgers are a solid win, philly cheese is another favorite , the owners are usually there and run a clean, tight ship. Relieved to have more options here.
Burger was definitely worth 5 stars, one of the best I've had in a long time. There is some room for improvement on service in terms of time. Service is friendly and nice, it just takes longer than expected. I hope this improves as they work the kinks out
I'm glad we have a reasonable breakfast and lunch place back in the middle of Destrehan.
The staff here are pleasant and fairly quick. Breakfasts are pretty standard fare, but the coffee is fresh, the hash browns are crunchy (that's good in my book!) and the grits are creamy. I like that you can order the grits with cheese added.
If they have a lunch special, it's generally good, and a step up from the normal menu offerings. Those are ok too, but generally not as good as the specials.
Prices are reasonable, both for breakfast and lunch.
I really hope this works: We've had three businesses at this location in the last four years, and I'd like this one to succeed.

Very homie atmosphere, food was amazing! Perfectly cooked to order and on the table before I finished my first drink!!
Good menu selection, great atmosphere. Big enough to be, small enough to care.
A little cramped for space/seating, still family friendly.
