Went for dinner on a Tuesday. Overall, just okay. Location: downtown deridder. Parking is fairly easy. Across from the farmers market stand. Atmosphere: fairly open, all tables in the front part (didn't go into the second part). Single table can sit 4 people. Kinda quiet- couldn't really hear any music. Able to see the kitchen from where we sat. Service: friendly but needs training. Unable to describe menu items without going to the kitchen to ask. Attentive. Seat yourself style. Food: this is what really made us give the review 3 out of 5 rating. Order the cheese fries appetizer- came with cold shredded cheese on top of fries with bacon bits, a jalapeno mayo, green onion, and jalapeño- so the cheese wasn't melted. It was weird to eat just cold shredded cheese on your fries. It would have been better with melted cheese. Also ordered their burger and chicken fried steak. Burger was just ok, needed more seasoning. Chicken fried steak batter tasted good but the meat was chewy and hard to cut. The fries were just frozen and heated up. They also have southwest egg rolls, fried pickles, onion pedals, shrimp, fish, fish/shrimp tacos, burgers, poboys, sandwiches, baked potatoes, pork chops, chicken tenders, salads, etc. Prices: for quality, too expensive. Their 14 oz steaks and surf & turf was listed at nearly $30+!! If their burgers and such are just okay, I wouldn't dare risk spending the money on a steak that expensive. The burger was about $11, but the side of fries was an extra charge of $3. Chicken fried steak with fries was about $14. Overall, it's okay. I'm sure people have a good time here if they are here to drink/watch a game. It is nice to have a sit down place other than fast food. However, the quality of the food for the price will probably keep us away for awhile.

I love the chicken sandwich, grilled. $8.99 no side. Those are another $2.99. But it tastes great. Service every time we've been has been good (3x). My only real complaint is the weak tea. It is just tinted water. So, skip the tea and all will be good. Oh, the green beans are delicious and the curly fries are the best I've ever tried. Addition:: Have enjoyed this sandwich many times since original post. Always good. Dress warmly when you go but do go. The breakfasts are also wonderful.

This restaurant server told me not to call my order in advance during lunch hour because I am bothering the in store customers. I attempted to go after works for drinks and had to flag down a waitress to be served after being seated for 20 minutes. Than our orders were messed up horrible. But, I figured everyone has a bad day. I will never go there again! I do not recommend this place at all.

Where do i begin?? I walked in and was greeted by the hostess and then was yelled at from the kitchen window if i was having breakfast or lunch...I was kind of scared to answer with the wrong answer so i answered and said breakfast. She then yelled how many more are coming for breakfast, i then asked the hostess if she was talking to me or her. The hostess was sitting me and she yelled again, "this the last one for breakfast". So at this point I'm feeling some type of way. I placed my order and specifically asked for my eggs to be "fried hard" the waitress stated that she called my order exactly how i asked, she stated that she even asked when she picked my plate out the window if the eggs were fried hard and she was told yes. needless to say the eggs ran across my plate. My server, the hostess, and my food were great, the yeller in the kitchen however rubbed me the wrong way. 1st impression are everything!! I'm not from Deridder but travel there often and afraid to say that this was my 1st and last visit.

Service was S-L-O-W! We started out with going out for breakfast and ended up with a late brunch!🤦‍♀️ The largest part of the problem there was the lack of working as a team!☹️ Chatted with management...and received zero compensation for our 1.5 hr wait. And our food order wasn't even totally correct! Without some serious changes in management/wait staff I fear for this establishment! Don't go here unless you a couple of hrs to waste!
