We ate here for the first time today and it was great! I had the crab cake benedict and the hubby had the chicken and waffkes...both were delicious! Little man had the pancake and eggs and the smiley face pancake was a big hit! So many yummy things on the menu...can’t wait to come back to try something else. Service was excellent...we did have to wait a little bit for a table but the wait was worth it.
Just left Th Citrus Diner! Amazing!! If you haven’t been there yet be sure to get their fresh squeezed orange juice… or a Mamosa! The portion sizes are huge AND everything is freshly made - from scratch- each morning. Wait till you try the home-fries and biscuits and gravy! I’m in heaven! Very cute atmospher with ultra pleasant wait-staff. Glad they chose Denver. This will definately be my new meeting spot for breakfast and lunch!!!!!
I’m not from around here, just visiting. My wife has been having a difficult time finding some amazing biscuits & gravy. Well, I’m very pleased to report that her search is over. She LOVED her biscuits & gravy!
I ordered the meat lovers omelet with potatoes and a side pancake. It was very good.

My husband and I came here for the first time today, and it’s our new favorite breakfast place! It looked really busy so we figured we’d pull in and try it, the wait was only about 20 minutes, you wait in your car and they text you. The menu is very well put together and everything sounded amazing. I started with the banana bread latte and it was one of the best lattes ever, it came with a cinnamon stick that added great flavor. For food I got the Heuvos Rancheros and it was better than any other I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back and try their whole menu. On top of amazing food, the service we incredibly friendly and fast.
I have recently retired to the Lake Norman and we go out for breakfast at least 5 times a week. I am always on the look out for the "BEST" breakfast in the Lake Norman area. Today we visited the Citrus Diner in Denver, NC. We defintley will be back. After a couple more visits, it may become my #1 breakfast spot in the Lake Norman area . Huevos Rancheros-- excellent. Chicken fried steak--- Perfect. Crisp bacon. Orange juice squeezed fresh on site. Large assortment of fruit drinks. Coffee was good, hot, regualrly refreshed. Plus, a GREAT server!
Went with the Mrs. the flavors are great. Will definitely be back. The cinnamon roll pancake is good but the pineapple upside down pancakes that the Mrs. got are way better.
My Husband and I came here for brunch. First time and certainly will not be the last food was delicious I had the Hash Omelet and my Husband got Hash and eggs. Drinks I got a Raspberry Mimosa also very good. Service was also very good here
My wife really liked the decor and familiar feel of the diner. We tried the breakfast quesadilla and pineapple upside-down pancakes. Both were delicious as was the gravy biscuit I had as a side. Portions were generous. Price was reasonable considering we had leftovers. Waitress was quick with the refills and the food made it to our table surprisingly fast. The staff welcomed other customers who appeared to be regulars. All in all a very good first impression. Looking forward to returning and trying something different as the breakfast menu has a lot of tempting options.
