First time visit. Worth the effort to get here. Thanks for the tip Westword! Good beer selection. Great food choices. The cheese curds are killer. Chef even came out to personally ask if we enjoyed the food. Bartenders very friendly. Irish music is nice touch. Cool people watching patio. The owner Kevin is very hospitable. We will be back.
This is a no frills bar with surprisingly great food. We came in on a rather lazy Sunday and it was a complete delight. The bar tenders we friendly and fast. The crowd was chill which made for a perfect day to sit and watch some football.
We didn't order a lot of food but what we did get was very tasty! We did try the brussel sprouts and some fries. I caught a glimpse of some other dishes and they smelled amazing.
If you're interested in a small friendly bar with praiseworthy food, drinks and service definitely pop into Rory's!
Great place! Loved seeing Hazel Miller here. Food was great, management was on point, and the bartenders made you feel at home!!! 100 percent recommend and try the French Dip!!
Rory's Tavern was an excellent find! My family and I ran into this place while visiting another local business. There were plenty of affordable and tasty looking menu options so the entire family voted to dine at Rory's. The atmosphere was cozy, and the patrons were friendly and outgoing. It made me wish I had a place like this up north. My son loved the beef tip sandwich. My wife and daughter enjoyed the meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes. I really liked the jalapeno cream cheese burger with fried brussel sprouts. The service was exceptional. We even squeezed in a game of shuffleboard! Once our night was complete we were all in agreement, we will definitely go back to Rory's Tavern.
The place has a nice atmosphere, nice wall art. The staff and waiters were really nice, made you feel welcome. Our family was there on a Sunday and to me the food was just like dive bar food. I had a BLT, now I ordered that as there is not much ghat can go wrong. The bacon was nice and thick but really skinny and very over cooked. The tomatoes were nice size and fresh and the lettuce was fresh too. We were only passing through town.
Great place, very roomy, clean, great food, great live music, especially Preacher Pete!! Love the big sofa to listen to music
Excellent customer service! Lisa was very attentive. Great music that took me back to my childhood. You can not bet these food and drink deals (check out their Tuesday burger deal with a friend). The Brussels spouts were the best I've had in Denver ( not overly fried or buttered).
Looks like a hole in the wall, but has two rooms that essentially mirror one another. The shuffle board table was on point. Quiet tavern on a week night. They have 2 for 1 burgers one night. The burgers were good. A average beer selection. Parking wasn’t ideal. Service was good. The fish was good, but heavily breaded.
I rarely take the time to write a positive review, but Rory's was such a spectacular experience that I had to share it. Absolutely 5 stars - food: I had the burger, which was exquisite to start with, and put some of the pork green chili that one of my mates had gotten on top of the burger. It was, no lie, the best burger I've ever had. And having sampled several local kitchen's version of pork green chili, I can also say that Rory's was the best I had while in Denver. Service: super friendly and attentive staff. I came thirsty, and my beer did not empty before the next one arrived! Nightlife: we saw DeadPhish Orchestra play later that night, and the space was awesome for acoustics, dancing, and enjoying the band.
I will definitely be back to Rory's next time I'm in Denver.
Very nice little bar with great food. The atmosphere is fantastic and not overwhelming. You'll enjoy this getaway. The menu is big, and you'll find something for sure that's good. Lots of different drinks to choose from. Date night anyone?
