My team thought it was one of the best Japanese retaurants they've ever been to. Miki, the owner came by to say hello to me. This eatery is one of the best Japanese owned and I highly recommend to try it if you're ever in Denver.

I go to TOKIO almost every Friday night, and have been doing so for over a year. Their ramen is excellent. Their sushi is off-the-charts, especially for Colorado. Their selection of Japanese beers, sake, and shochu is excellent, and they often have imported specialty items I've never seen anywhere else. Never had any problems with staff or service - the whole team is great. Definitely the best Japanese place in Colorado.

Went to Tokio seeking delicious ramen and the Shoyu Ramen did not disappoint. Tender pork atop a large portion of noodles with a soft egg, delectable. The soup was a tad salty but overall very good. A neat and tidy restaurant with a secondary terrace and friendly staff. Vegan accommodations include sushi, appetizers, and a veggie ramen. But be warned, fine print at the top says ALL ramen comes with pork and soft egg so double check when ordering. Looking forward to coming back for the Ramen Challenge!

Not many options if you're gluten free. No tamari or appetizers you can have. Otherwise, the food was tasty and the service was excellent. Didn't have the ramen but it smelled amazing!!

Pictured: edamame, takoyaki, teriyaki chicken bowl, and the dragon roll. The takoyaki seriouslyyyy smacked. Great service, the waitlist time also went by pretty quickly. Also really nice atmosphere 🤗

Absolutely delicious food! We came on a date night last night after experiencing the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit and the food was seriously incredible and our service was great! We went for ramen and appetizers. While I’ve had tasty ramen in Denver (Ramen is our favorite food and we enjoy exploring what the area has to offer) this is the only place that I’ve felt I was really experiencing what Ivan talked about when the broth coats the noodles in such a way. It was seriously a union between broth and noodles. I had the curry ramen and it blew me away! Absolutely amazing and we will be back!

Loved the Tonokotsu ramen we ordered here. The outside location and facade is unassuming but you will be surprised by the setting when you enter. High ceiling, beautiful wood beams, cozy furniture and tasteful decors. The most important of all, the ramen broth was oh so flavorful! I will be back to try more!

Visited here twice already. One time in April 22, and now Nov 22. Got to say the food here is alright, nothing special but decent ramen. However, I do think the food quality here went down hill from April to Nov. and the servers are slow to our request despite the non busy hours.

Not a bad place! I went here for dinner with a friend! Service was great, we had Erik as our server. He did phenomenal! Kaarage was good and so were the handrolls! The reason for the 4/5 and not it being a 5/5 was I felt my ramen wasn’t as big portioned as I expected it to be. Comparing with my friends ramen mine didn’t look as full as his was in the pictures.

*Adding ramen review: finally tried their tonkatsu ramen, a was quite happy with the amount of vegetables, feels ok about their chashu and soup/broth was hearty and bold. But I feel like I've had better with adjustable spice levels in other places. I think sushi is this place's strong suit. ___ I've so far tried their appetizers and sushi. I must say it was pretty amazing. I usually find sushi to be decent food, but never thought they could be quite elevated other than using fresher ingredients, but sushi here is quite amazing. I've yet to try their ramen but this will be my go-to recommended place for a good sushi place near downtown Denver. I was a little worry about the portions of sushi rolls due to pricing on the menu and thinking it may not be enough food for dinner but what you see on my photos were more than enough for two people. Because of how it's set up and how big the rolls are, you may find it hard to have a chance to try different rolls at one time, but each roll seemed totally worth it. They also have a challenge of having 5.5lbs of ramen during a certain amount of time at that place but we just weren't up for it. This place is not very far from the Union Station and worth checking out. It's good to have a nice dinner here, sit a bar nextdoor and have a good date night.
