I have a high cheesesteak standard and I'd heard wonderful reviews about the original Denver Ted's. So I went into my first DT experience with high expectations. I am very happy to say, even if my waistline will be paying a serious price over the next several months, that those expectations were met and exceeded. The staff was wonderful. Friendly, quick to serve, super helpful in parsing the menu. The bar was delightful, as was Jay behind the bar. And the food... the food was, and I mean this is the most complimentary of ways, all Philly. Not in the "booing Santa Claus" way, but in the "perfect roll, steak exactly as it should be, and the gooeyness of whiz" kind of way.
I imagine I would have a great time there even if I just sat at the bar and didn't get a sandwich. I'll probably never actually prove this because I can't imagine a scenario where I don't get a sandwich. But that's the kind of the place the New Denver Ted's is. Go, enjoy, get the meat sweats, swear you'll never eat that much again, and then later that day start making plans for your next visit.
The best cheesesteaks anywhere, with an incredible array of toppings choices, and easily multiple steps up in quality from any other cheesesteak place in Denver. They have other amazing sandwiches too. The Chicken Bacon BBQ & the Buffalo Chicken are both awesome!
GREAT place all-around, but the BEST CHEESEATEAK this side of Philly! Amazing Italian bread used in their CS, friendly people, cool vibe, see rheCokrs Field right from the windows. Outside dining room. Great intimate full bar. Very good prices, and cheap drink specials! Must try!
Rated 3.5. Growing up near Philly & having been to Pat's, Geno's, & Jim's (last time a year ago) multiple times, I'm looking for a particular style. In my sandwich, the meat had more of a ground beef texture, then chopped & sliced. I usually get onions and provolone which were both a little weak. Bread was ok. I know it can be hard to get Amoroso (which I don't think is absolutely necessary). It's a decent sandwich. Def not the best in the area. I still prefer South Philly over this.
Seriously the best Cheesesteaks you’ll ever taste. The meats and cheeses and all the toppings. Cool place, great people, excellent food.
404 page not found, these are my kind of people 😂 First time in and I gotta say, I'm not typically huge on Cheesesteak, but these are 🔥. I had the helton and it was awesome. Had to wait a bit since they were slammed but it was worth it.
Philly Native of 35 years, best cheeseteak I've had in Denver by a mile.
Whiz and fried onions on an Amaroso roll, good chopped meat not steak strips thank god.
Will be back.
Beef and chicken had great flavor, fries were perfect, love the soda options, specialties all sounded good, was sad I could only pick one. But we'll be back!
The onion rings were bomb! I ordered the bacon and mushroom sandwich and it was delicious! Huge portions. Totally worth it!
This place is the best spot in town for cheesesteaks. Straight up. I got a Chauncey that was beyond my wildest dreams of what I want on a cheesesteak. So take it from me a Denver Local this place is legit 100% 🔥🔥 🔥🔥🔥🚒. Hell yeah your gonna love it. Hit em up. Denver 4 Life.
Hands down the most authentic Philly Cheesesteak in Denver! The owner Michael is incredibly friendly and welcoming to all visitors.
First off, best cheesesteak in Denver. Hands down. I’m a big fan of the Elway. Comes loaded. But years ago, one of the steak handlers told me I should also add banana peppers and bbq sauce to the Elway. I thought he was nuts but he was also adamant. And he was right. Strange combo but amazing and it remains my go-to. I love this place. I really miss the old location in Cap Hill. Not just for convenience but also the old school vibe it carried. Since it’s move, I don’t get to visit near as much. But the new spot is really nice. Hope some additional outposts come along someday.
