It's-a-burger

I love supporting local restaurants if at all possible and heard It’s-A-Burger had gluten free burgers (I have celiac) so we decided to try it out tonight. Overall, the experience and food was okay. My husband picked up takeout and said the inside was very clean and the staff were friendly. It took 25 min for our to-go order to be ready, so definitely not “fast food.” They also nickel and dime you for everything, so it ads up. We got two double patty burgers and two fries and it came to $32. No drinks just the burgers and fries. That seemed high as that is what we normally pay when we go to Red Robin and each have a drink, burger with lots of toppings (bacon, cheese, Guacamole, extra) and all you can eat fries. Mooyah and In-And-Out are cheaper. The fries were great. I love extra salty and thick fries and that’s what they were. However, the gluten free bun seemed to be an Udi’s bun (if you are gluten free you know 🤣). I appreciate them offering a gluten free option, but the burger just wasn’t worth the price in my opinion. One thing I’ll give them is their burger patty’s are thick. We ordered two doubles because we were expecting thin patty’s like In-And-Out or Mr. Frosty’s. I ended up giving my husband by second party because it was to much for me. Unless you want a ton of meat, you can stick with a single (help bring the price down too). Overall, it was good. If we had friends who wanted to meet there, we would go. But I personally found it to be overpriced for the quality. I will go to Moyah, In-And-Out or Red Robin instead.

Their Ranch- they have their own kind of ranch. Taste wise It's a mix between hidden valley (which isn't good with anything but salads in my opinion) and the good kind (the kind you get at wings stop and could drink alone lol), but really thin. Not too great with the fries. Their its-a-sauce reminds me of taco Cabana ranch salsa (tastes chipotle sauc-ey) but thicker and yummier. Their fries are like a homemade version of burger Kings latest thick fries. 8/10. Sweet potato fries are good.They aren't really thick though but I personally like crispier thin fries (think fries meet potatoes chips) The free soft serve- 1) it's free 2) it's actually good! Not your mcdonalds soft serve, more like braums :) Though the extra $.89 for a soda float can quickly become free if you just use the soft serve, not as thick as I've cream but if you're on a budget well... (please don't take it away!) Their burger- the patty was yummy. Tasted good. The thickness was perfect. I hate thick burgers but thin ones can easily become too greasy (that's why we love mooyah...) The veggies used were fresh, again reminds me of home made burgers. I could see people not getting too excited about this place, it's-a-burger. It's not Whataburger, it's not mooyah, it's not five-guys. Its his own thing and some will love some won't. I would come back just for the party being right and if I'm not feeling a heavy mooyah burger. Their bacon- was actually crispy. The athmosphere was great though! The employees very nice and helpful, the manager made sure we were satisfied and the music choice was a nice touch. I would come back, and my boyfriend would if I made him. (He wished his "jalapeno burger" meat a jalapeno Patty, wish would be an innovative ideas for a burger joint.)
